    CWR - Linnell

No doubt we will be informed that this result was entirely due to his good mate Andy.....

The interview... What would you ask?

What's your opinion on diamonds? :thinking about:

    Jim Magilton in frame-SkySports

Given how rubbish we were away from home last season, we probably don't want him then!

    Jim Magilton in frame-SkySports

He didn't do well at the Victory: poor results, very average football played...mind you he inherited a dreadful squad, apart from Kewell and a couple of others. Plus there may have been some behind the scenes issues which meant he was never going to be given a longer deal. Fair to say though...

I see. Would certainly explain the team's performance, if true.

    Thorn now

If the players aren't "playing the way they are told to", either pick new players or make changes to how and what you are telling them!

    Where are we at fault?

Absolutely. However, they were also good enough to put us up 2-0. The concern is why they are unable to protect a lead consistently. I think silly mistakes and lapses in concentration are things they can control; the instructions they're given, their fitness levels, organisation on the pitch...

How many more games will Thorn get?

Given the clueless fools who run the club, it would not surprise if he doesn't get replaced at all!

    sky blues in court today

Part of his job is PR with the supporters. I would imagine silence greeting this sort of news would not be viewed too favourably by his paymasters.

Yes, well, he would say that, wouldn't he?

Player you really hope has a great year?

McDonald, because a good year for him means plenty of goals, and plenty of goals means our chances of promotion take a boost.

    First ever Sky Blues game?

First game was a 1-0 home loss to Leicester City, November 1999. I'd flown into England twelve hours beforehand! Sat in the East Stand, watched the West End bounce and sing for 90 minutes, and decided any other games I would watch would be from there. The atmosphere was also an eyeopener...

    Thorn Up To The Job?

I genuinely believe he is not, and this has nothing to do with friendly results that shouldn't even bloody well count; and everything to do with too many examples of tactical naivety he exhibited last season. I of course sincerely hope I am proven wrong this season.

Thorn: Size matters and Bruno Cazarine confirmed on trial

With all due respect, no. Just no. There is one team (Brisbane) who last season played some very good football. Central Coast Mariners are okay. The rest of the league is junk. Last season was the best season since the first one, but generally speaking, the quality is fairly poor. I agree...

Bruno Cazarine and the german all I know is his name is Ricky

Provided it is Cazarine, he could be a good pickup. At its best the A-League is League One standard, and he managed to score well enough in two seasons; plus, in his first season, he scored a goal every other game in the Asian Champions League. Sydney fans generally seem to rate him also, and...

    RIP Ernie Machin

Heard stories about him from my old man, but never got to see him play. RIP Ernie.

    Harry Kewell?????

It is incredibly unlucrative...unless you are a "marquee" player.

    Most likely, yes.

    Harry Kewell?????

He was much better in the second half of the season, once he actually got some fitness and form. I know many Victory fans who were disappointed that he has left, which speaks volumes. Having said that, he would cost too much, and dealing with him contract wise is too much hassle.
