    Are the club lying?.....Again?

No, that is not the professionel way to do it - and I am sure we all want our future owners to be professionel? Any offer must be made to the board. Any subsequent negotiation must be with the board. If the board feel the offer is in the best interest of the club, they will take it to the...

City board ready to meet hoffman

Last season - with Westwood, Gunnar and King - we were heading towards Div 1. The players are important, but so is the manager, the type of play, the mentality, the fans support ...

City board ready to meet hoffman

Normal practise is that any offer to buy the company is presented to the board. If the board decide the offer is in the best interest of the company they will back it and take it to the shareholders.

SISU to continue to finance club

I there is ongoing negotiations with new investors, the board will be quiet until an agreement has been made. As Hoffman and his backing group are all silent, I have to think they are part of the negotiation.

SISU to continue to finance club

Yes I agree. Prozone was sold to buyout Ranson - not to strip the club for assets. I do wonder what the actual cost buying out Ranson was - his shares and the loan. But I guess it was always a preagreed figure stated in the shareholders agreement.

SISU to continue to finance club

No, it does not mean the takeover bid is more dead than was before. It could actually mean it's more alive than ever. A takeover takes time and has to be done in the shadows and this 'news' buys that time and attempt to put speculations to rest. I am NOT saying it is so, I just say you may be...

    Takeover update

Yeah, but I said 'new money' - not specifically saying a joint venture between SISU and Hoffman was likely, just that SISU is now in strong position and will probably tell ANY potential investor: Either buy us out completely or respect our previous investments and lets work together (until...

Well, that at least supports my earlier speculation that the failure to sell Westwood and/or Gunnar last summer can very well have let to the final rift between Ranson and the owners. Add to that the increased wages for King and you may see how the finances spun completely out of control...

So - cash flow wise - where do you think we stand now. If the total loss is around 300K/m that equals to around 3.6m/yr Take away depreciations an other non-cash flow items which is probably also reduced a bit - say 1.6m/yr that should leave a cash flow shortfall of around 2m/yr. If this is...

In fact Ranson said the club was to be rebuild around young players - and we seem to have reverted to that plan. Many fans moans that local young talent doesn't get enough playtime - well, that has certainly changed, and now the fans are upset we don't buy expensive proven players. But I...

Well I was responding to this: "This club is ENTIRELY DEBT FREE. We don't even have an overdraft facility". That statement was made just after the takeover when old externel debt was converted to SISU owned internal debt. What has since happened on the debt side of things I don't really...

As I said in my previous post - I do not love SISU. But I guess it all comes down to where we come from. I have hands on experience running a business owned by investors, so my view expressed here are all based on 'qualified guesswork'. I have supported this club for 40 odd years and seen how...

I actually resent being labeled as 'SISU lover' - I am not. But I do take a business perspective and just submit my views like anybody else does. It is really not helpful comparing a business with roulette gambling and nowhere have I said SISU should in any case have their money back. But I...

    Takeover update

Here's a little lesson in finance and economics: The loans SISU have made to the club holds it's full value for SISU as long as they are serviced according to the conditions. As the conditions are without periodic rates and without interests, the club can not mis-service the loans and so the...

Yes, it seems that Hoffman, Elliott and Keys have very easy access to the CT, but the paper does not deserve any credit for not at least pretending to do some journalism and ask a few critical questions like - Some of the frontmen for the take over was deeply involved in running the club for...

News??? What news??? I must have missed something as I haven't seen any news since the chairman told they'd dismissed some scribbles from Hoffman. I have seen a lot of rumors, speculations and allegations - but news ... nope.

Board to discuss Hoffman bid on Friday?

I agree on all you said in your post, but the sentence I have highlighted is where you really hit the nail. Most people does not seem to understand, that our current owners - SISU - are actually very professionel in what they do. They where behind the business plan and the budget from start...
