Brody and Clouting at the Ricoh on Sunday

Thank you for a very good report. I really hope the die-hard anti SISU regime on here read it carefully and start wondering if their anger and frustration might - just might - be a little misdirected. Or in fact completely off the mark. And to the runners of this board: You should consider...

If only SISU had speculated a little bit....

So it's all SISU's fault? Ranson's way of running the club finances is irrelevant? If only the bank would loan me more money, I would drive a AUDI R8, live in a mansion by the sea and have a summer residence in Bahamas.

    Clubs Accounts

The accounts have been filed and the embargo lifted, so you can all calm down. I've been on it before and here I go again: You really - no REALLY - cannot put the entire blame for the last three years of failure solely on SISU. You need to understand what a hedge fund is and to accept the...

41 year ... hmmmm. According to the Hitchhikers Guide the answer is 42. Surely next season ....

Surely his name is Eastwood ... unless you're talking about Westwood?

    A Royal Plea

    1. How would you describe your season so far? Quite normal. 2. You sacked Aidy Boothroyd in March, was it the right time for him to go? Definitely! 3. Who would you like to see get the job? Anyone who can get the team to play attractive football. 3b. and where do you think you'll finish...

    Rival Approaches

In hindsight he should have been given a two year contract - or at least the contract should have had an extention clause.

    Threads are Tweets

So, calling Brody a liar was mis-communication?

    Season as a whole?

Here's hoping for a next season!

    Can we catch Leicester?

Leicester have proven that quality loan players, a world class manager and owners ready to bleed money for fun is not a certain road to promotion. You can argue that they had a very poor start and a lot of catching up to do - which they did. Now, this close to the finishing line you would expect...

There's a rule in investing: Kill your darlings. The meaning is quite straight forward - never invest in anything that you have feelings for.

    Just imagine...

The installment plans may have changed as the operational loss went through the roof. SISU might have stood firm to the amount they initialy committed to and that amount couldn't be spent both on covering losses and on new players. I think it is 'spin' when RR says SISU changed the plans - it...

Thanks for your reply. I do hope some of the readers on this board understand half of what we have discussed and now have a more balanced view of situation. As for the future I certainly hope the board will stay focused and that they managed to set up a new investment fond to make it possible...

oldskyblue58, When reading your reply I can't help feel that you think RR was quite naive going into the adventure placing his own fortune at the control of SISU. I guess that RR was the one who took initiative, bringing the proposal to buy CCFC to SISU and they agreed on the terms that RR...

    Just imagine...

oldskyblue58, I kinda like your balanced view, but I do have a few comments. When the takeover was in place I am certain SISU and RR were on level page. They knew status on the starting line, they planned the finances ahead and they agreed to the strategy. At that point I think there were...

    Just imagine...

oldskyblue58, I have read most of your posts and you seem to know about economics. Most of what I have read in your posts are about the current situation - where we are today. I would like your view on how we got here. Who (if any) are to blame and would you prefer SISU out with RR/Hoff back...

You would need to understand the nature of a hedge fund like SISU. A large investment is very seldom done by one individual but by a group of investors. This spread the risk (and the profit, but as these people are already rich, rsik management comes before profit). A hedgefund like SISU...

    current health of CCFC

Surely a very large portion was needed to buy RR's shares. Probably around 5mio. The rest I would think was the urgent need to starve off administration. I don't think we are safe for the summer yet. SISU may need to (once again) find extra funds within their own ranks - or maybe the new...

    SISU Out

I think they are actually saying that they have no intention in selling the club as it stands as the valuation would not match their overall investment. In other words they would lose money if they sell now. In reality everything is for sale - if the price is right for both the seller and the buyer.

    SISU Out

SISU should stay. But if a loaded russian, arab or chinese were to come in with sh*tload of money to play with, then everyone would be happy.
