    Thorn Post Match Interview

Exactly. How can you see nothing wrong in what he says when he hasn't show that same sort of naming and shaming for anyone else who has let us down? Of course it may well affect an 18 year old much more than a seasoned professional who has heard it all before too. Thorn was wrong anyway, and...

    Bell was shocking

Thought Bell was no worse than anyone else on the pitch. Admittedly he did pretty much nothing all game, but I have seen worse from him. Just don't think he is creative enough to play that role at the tip of the diamond. And remember, a diamond is forever and David Bell is only for another 3 years.

Nigeria's Number One Stand Up Comes To The Ricoh

Latest from SISU's rep on the City Board SISU's representative on the Coventry City board Onye Igwe has said that his plans include building a team that can challenge and establish CCFC as one of the most admired clubs in English football. Writing in the programme for the Sky Blues game against...

He would have been, yes. Thought he was excellent. Would say MOTM probably out of Keogh and Hussey.

    Thorn got it wrong today...

Gael made a bad error of judgement with a rash challenge, thorn made a bad error of judgement in not replacing ROD with Deegan after the sending off, ROD made a bad error of judgement in missing a simple clearance - and I made an error in going up the Ricoh.

    Thorn got it wrong today...

Agreed. The lad had just turned 18 yesterday and maliciousness just isn't in his character. Bigi must have been totally distraught after the game. For the manager to say he couldn't care how he was feeling was bang out of order. Can't believe he said it.

    Thorn got it wrong today...

Must say I was totally stunned when he said it. There was at least one game this season where Sheff and Bell were a disgrace and Thorn never publicly picked on them. Bottom line is you don't slate individuals in post match interviews, you do so behind closed doors.

    oh dear ROD

Good point there. As an opposition defender ROD must indeed be a rather easy player to mark. He is quite predictable and his first touch isn't great anyway. Hand on heart, how many goals do you think ROD is capable of this season for us? 3? 4? Think I would rather see another of the academy lads...

    Thorn got it wrong today...

But as said, there have been times when Sheff, Bell and Baker have put in disgraceful performances and have come off the field without a bead of sweat on them and nothing has been said. Bigi had a good game yesterday and made two innocent mistakes that cost. The sending off was a genuine attempt...

    Thorn got it wrong today...

Sorry, but a manager should never come out and publicly slate individuals. Tis done behind closed doors. Besides, Bigi is a young lad of just 18. Plenty of other players at fault yesterday for the defeat, but I notice Thorn didn't mention them. Been a few players put in performances where...

    oh dear ROD

ROD has proved unfortunately that he is a parks football player and nothing else. That kick and run that he did just after he came on was really really embarrassing and quite comical. Stuff you see 9 year old kids doing. He simply knocked the ball past the defender and then tried to run past...

    Thorn got it wrong today...

Thorn went over the top re Bigi for sure. Geoff Foster asked him how Bigi was feeling in the dressing room and Thorn replied "I don't care." He also blamed the young lad for Burnley's first goal. If he's going to be like that then he should have come out and totally hammered ROD for his air...

Next two games will be crucial to....

No, it's the New Den. Or where we are concerned, probably the Lion's Den.
  15. Otis

    Thorn got it wrong today...

Agree, but i was talking about over the 90 mins. As you say, over the 90 mins we probably had about 3 clear chances. Burnley had at least double that. We are not scoring enough and we are not creating enough chances.

    Thorn got it wrong today...

But Thorn could have changed the game, or at least have tried to change the game by deploying differing tactics, i.e. making substitutions to try and alter the balance of superiority.

Murphy 7 Christie 6 Keogh 7 Wood 7 Hussey 7 Connor 6 Gael 7 (well would be 8, but his mistake for the first goal and for getting sent off, so 7). Bell 6 Sammy 6.5 The Juke 7 Cody 6.5

    Thorn got it wrong today...

I have been saying for weeks that this side has all the look of relegation about them. We play nice football, but nice football doesn't win matches. Just how many clear chances did we have on goal today? Compare that to Burnley. We are scoring at an average of less than a goal a game and we...

    Thorn got it wrong today...

The ref was very poor today, but he did get the major decisions right. There were just loads of little incorrect ones unfortunately.

    Thorn got it wrong today...

Don't understand your argument. When Thorn gets it right I praise him and when he gets it wrong I critisise him. How else do you wish me to be? :thinking about::thinking about: How strange.
