Thorn got it wrong today... (6 Viewers)

But as said, there have been times when Sheff, Bell and Baker have put in disgraceful performances and have come off the field without a bead of sweat on them and nothing has been said. Bigi had a good game yesterday and made two innocent mistakes that cost. The sending off was a genuine attempt for the ball and the dismissal came as a result of naivety and not malice and simply a case of a young head making in trying to win the ball, as they are prone to do.

Bottom line is that Thorn chose to name one player in the interview for a slating and that one player was Bigi

That's it, Bigi been one of the few players who can hang there head high this season but gets slated by the manager. What's that going to do for the confidence of the lad?

Must say I was totally stunned when he said it.

There was at least one game this season where Sheff and Bell were a disgrace and Thorn never publicly picked on them. Bottom line is you don't slate individuals in post match interviews, you do so behind closed doors.

For that Otis I don't think he has the ability of being the
Manager any more, it was a disgrace and it wasn't gaels fault it was his!!!!

Agreed. The lad had just turned 18 yesterday and maliciousness just isn't in his character. Bigi must have been totally distraught after the game. For the manager to say he couldn't care how he was feeling was bang out of order. Can't believe he said it.

Heres hoping Gael reads this forum and knows that atleast the fans support him, as Im sure the other players do also.

Good point raised above about the reported unrest in the camp. If Thorn can be that abusive, and arrogant, which I believe he was, in a post match interview which is aired to the public, what must he be like behind the scenes? I was very disappointed with his comments and attitude yesterday. I never thought id refer to him as abusive, but what he said about Bigi was blatant abuse towards a vulnerbale lad yesterday imo

Gael made a bad error of judgement with a rash challenge, thorn made a bad error of judgement in not replacing ROD with Deegan after the sending off, ROD made a bad error of judgement in missing a simple clearance - all in all too many errors

Also what was the crack with Murphy and Hussey hoofing into the corners, I thought I was watching a rugby game where we were kicking for territory at that point.

Murphy was annoyed at no players moving out wide, so he just kicked it out of play

The only decision i didn't get was Murphy's booking for time wasting when the ball boy hadn't even given him the ball yet?

Wasn't the booking for dissent?

Looming comments were a bit harsh, do you really think that thorn doesn't care? I will all be forgotten about when they're back in training today/tomorrow.

Yes bigi made two huge errors - not tracking Wallace's run and the sending off.

If it had been jordan Clarke or hussey the fans would have been baying for blood.

I'm sure Thorn will be regretting his comments and will probably apologise to bigi. Let's draw a line under it and move on.

I think Murphy had no choice but punt it into touch, having been booked by the halfwit ref for time wasting when he didn't even have the ball he had to get rid of it quickly or risk getting sent off. There was no one up front so had no option but put it into touch.
