As there are only Thorn threads on the go at the moment ....

Thought it only fair to start one about the players today. They all need to take a look in the mirror at themselves. Today was like a cup final and they just weren't up for it. Poor show. Don't think anyone could say they had a really good game, apart from Joe Murphy.

They were up for it on Tuesday though. What the hell was the matter with them today? Did they think they just needed to turn up to win the game or something?

Bristol know they have to play us at their place don't they, so they have probably already chalked that one off the list of games they need to win.

Don't understand why they were fired up and motivated for Leeds but not for today. Puzzling.

To be fair I think Eastwood is just making the numbers up on the bench. Though that does beggar the question as to why Shaun Jeffers or even Johnson Clarke-Harris wasn't included in the subs if Thorn doesn't want to utilise Freddy.

Well that's the reason as much as anything why I would replace him. League One would be a disaster. We need to do anything and everything to try and survive.

He sounded like a beaten man. I think he honestly doesn't know where it's going wrong.

Bit concerned with him keep talking about us being 'comfortable' today. Maybe the way I am reading it, but that sort of sounded a bit like keeping it tight and trying not to lose rather than going for the win.

Why did anyone predict anything but a City defeat?

    Itis. It's all very depressing.

Why did anyone predict anything but a City defeat?

1 goal in 6 away games tells me we are indeed too cautious on our travels.

Everything I saw went way over his head in the box.

Also, just look at the stats. We have scored a total of ONE goal in the last 6 away games. ONE goal. We will lose every away game unless we change our approach and go out all guns blazing. We might as well lose 4-2 as 1-0.

Why did anyone predict anything but a City defeat?

Not pleased to be. I was thinking the best we could hope for would be a draw. Doesn't matter how poor Forest are. As an away side, we are much worse.

A lot of people saying Platt was crap today. Don't think a single cross came near him. Wasn't his fault he wasn't in the game. He'd have to be 8 ft tall and as quick as Usain Bolt to have reached any of those balls into the box.

    Barnsley (H), Leicester (A), Palace (H), Brum (H), Watford (A), Cardiff (A)

I thought we were powder puff. Loads of possession, no threat.

Why did anyone predict anything but a City defeat?

I will predict here and now that we will not win an away game all season and i wouldn't be surprised if we lose all of the remaining away fixtures left.

Well, I am wondering. I don't go to away games, but 7 goals in 15 games had me thinking that maybe we were too cautious on our travels. Today watching it on the TV proved that for me. It's now 7 goals in 16 games and I don't think their keeper had a save to make the entire 90 minutes.

Why did anyone predict anything but a City defeat?

Maybe. I still had us down for defeat. 7 goals in 16 games away from home tells you everything you need to know.
