Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

We watched The Long Walk last night. I was a fan of the book as a teenager and have been keen for an adaptation for a long time. I thought it was really fucking good. The acting alone is worth the price of a ticket, to a person everyone in the film is fantastic and I fully believe that in five...

Die Happy Moment - Cov Edition

I occasionally remember that 2000/2001 was my first season as an ST holder, and it staggers me that it's been that long since we were in the Premier League. My hallmark for where I believe this club can go is Crystal Palace. If, within my lifetime, Coventry City become a solid, well-run...

    Work colleagues dying

The first thing to say is: I hope you're okay. Grief and existential angst often go hand-in-hand and I think we've all felt this way from time to time. My two penneth on this is that a human being is not defined by what they did for a living or how quickly their employer moves on after they've...

    What are you playing?

I love the Yakuza games, like I said earlier my favourite genre is turn-based RPG and the two Like A Dragon games were like crack to me

    What are you playing?

I got that for my birthday and found it really difficult to get into. You kind of get dumped in the wilderness and told to figure it out, really not my bag and I thought the combat was awful too 🫤 Hope you get on with it better than I did!

    What are you playing?

I finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 a couple of weeks ago. Turn-based RPGs are my favourite genre (although not everyone's bag), and this game blew my mind. One of my favourites I've played in a long, long time.

Match Thread Leicester City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 20th Sep

Was hoping to make this one - had a great time in 2023 despite the result - but got a, shall we say, stern reminder from the better half that Saturday is my sister-in-law's wedding. Feeling confident we can get the three points and looking forward to surreptitiously checking the score on my...

    Stratford sky blues

There's a direct bus from SOA to the centre of Coventry, from where you could walk to the station and get the club shuttle bus. It would definitely take longer than the train but possibly less stressful than attempting to cram yourself onto the arena train

    Near sell outs most weeks

Atmosphere on Saturday was fantastic, around and in the ground. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and really up for the match; spoke to a few Norwich fans on the way in and they were all sound as fuck. Proper "this is why I love football" kind of day.

    Timewasting

Tbf, I'm pretty sure O'Hare walked off the pitch when he did his ACL. Football is one of the few sports where there's tangible benefits to timewasting, and therefore a tactical reason to fake injury; you don't get it in sports such as, say, basketball where every stoppage leads to the clock...

    Timewasting

    Entirely possible, admittedly

    Timewasting

But this is my point: When it comes down to it, we can't tell. The referee can't. The other players can't. That one Norwich player who went down near our area, hobbled to the centre circle and went down again? We were all utterly convinced that he was faking it, but he then went off.

    Timewasting

It's also worth pointing out that two of the players who pulled up yesterday were immediately substituted; either they were deeply committed to the bit, or they were genuinely injured.

    Timewasting

Referees are in a Catch 22 situation - Obviously we all notice that players are far more likely to pull up with a cramp or whatever when they're winning away, or when they're under the cosh and drawing, but how can you possibly prove that a player is faking it and can you imagine the almighty...

Match Thread Coventry City - Norwich City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Sep

Simms looked much brighter and more confident today than he has so far this season and was unlucky not to score

I 100% believe that GKs should also have to leave the pitch if they're claiming to be injured

Match Thread Coventry City - Norwich City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Sep

That was a fucking frustrating afternoon. Amazing to get yet another ET goal but they were shit and we should have had them buried about 25 minutes in. As soon as they scored you could see us deflate. MVE is a monster and his performance in the final 15 minutes is my favourite I've seen this...

    Charlie Kirk Shot

No less than The President of the United States of America specifically said that this was related to left-wing violence before anybody on the planet outside of the shooter himself knew anything about the shooter. The shooter's family have inevitably been doxxed on social media and all signs...
