Was looking around the stadium during WLADITT and was in awe of seeing how it looks nowadays, mostly packed week in week out. I remember looking out onto whole empty stands and rows to myself in the L2 days. Weve come a long way

Also, when we're on it as a crowd, I really wouldnt fancy it as a visiting player
There was a time I never thought we could get 10,000 season tickets never mind nearly 24,000 , we’ve definitely come a long way as a club and as a fan who was there in the top flight with 8 or 9 or 10 thousand crowds it makes you proud to be a city fan .

I think you’ve always had full stadium, just that years ago your fans used to attend in fancy dressbas Sky Blue Seats - so it just looked empty 🤪

they are well supported , but they are at the start of their ownership hatred really .. give it 5 more years of this nonsense and im pretty sure it will be significantly lower

Wednesday have been though nothing compared to us
Out of all the clubs who have had poor/ corrupt owners in the English leagues I can only think of Brighton that have possibly had it worse than us.

I was thinking about this on Saturday. First time I saw us play Norwich was 1992. We hardly ever broke 20k in those days. Just checked the stats and it was 16.4k. It was a top of the table premier league clash believe it or not. On Saturday we got almost double that in the championship!

Are bigger crowds in the Championship a widespread phenomenon since those days? I seem to remember City often getting 8-10,000 crowds in the early 80s when in the First Division, football's popularity ebbs and flows through the years.

Definitely. Football in this country is increasingly well supported. The average crowds so far this season dwarf those of the Championship 15 years ago.

Forward wind a few months and I believe you will see loads more initiatives from DK making a match day far more than just turning up to watch 90mins of football! His priority will be making sure no seats are left empty. Saturday had a great atmosphere around the village and the drinks pricing attracted far more than the normal crowd we see on a match day (weather also helped). I also think there will be some packages for the balcony, as this is an area where the club has potential to fill.

Yep, it needs to be more than the 90 minutes. You can watch the same game at home but you cannot replace the atmosphere and match day experience.
