    Hinckley Confirm Coventry Discussions

If no agreement is made with ACL, then the only option for the club is to declare insolvency, go into administration, reconstruct and move to another stadium. As sisu via ARVO has secured all assets, ACL will have nowhere to turn to regain the outstanding rent - neither the already owed nor the...

Well, that is not an accurate quote. Read here: http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/11334-FAQ-3-The-End Selling Dann and Fox happened in June and July 2009 ... 2½ years after sisu took over the club. Did you say 'no brainer'?

    Hinckley Confirm Coventry Discussions

They have so far injected £40m+ into the club. How much more is needed to call it 'investment'? You should read this piece (although more than a year old it is kept as 'sticky' for a reason): http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/11316-FAQ-2-Money-Talks

    £170,000 Ave Div 1 Rent?

    The land around the Ricoh

I personally can't see how ACL can earn them (their investors) anything close to the £40m+ injected so far. First of all, the lease is mortgaged around £15m and any bid lower than that would be countered by Yorkshire bank. When you look at the business and take away £1m (ccfc rent) it looks...

    The land around the Ricoh

Say you're right OSB - How much profit would/could they make on ACL? Please put some numbers on the table. That will most likely strengthen your argument.

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

That's surely a contradiction. If the worst happen, Coventry City will cease to exist. Unless you meant ... live on in our memories.

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

Parkinsons law: Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion. The deal will be settled just before they leave for christmas holidays. Oh, and I will be very dissapointed if the deal is not backdated. At the very minimum dated back to the end of last season.

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

What would I do? First of all - I am not creative enough to come up with a conspiracy like the one you suggest. But if I was that cunning, I would make sure the loans were conveted to shares and exchanged with the long lease. This way I (and not my clients) would own the club. Then I would...

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

If sisu has recovered their clients money then they have two options: 1) As OSB says - wind up the company (maybe the unpaid loans provide some tax benefits) 2) Write off the unpaid loans and sell the club at a cut down price (like asset value plus a bit)

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

Why would they wind up a company once they'd covered all loans and fee's? Surely a sell on would be more profitable ... The long lease is probably also much more worth with a viable football club as tenant.

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

I must have misplaced my accabus so could anybody be willing to make an estimate of what the average gate should be if moving to Nene Park would be a financial better choice than staying at the Ricoh (using the latest offer from ACL)?
  18. G

Why ACL's rent calculation could be justified.

I really don't get how 'fair price' has anything to do with the rent. At the end of the day, the 'market' decides the correct price. If ACL have other potential tennants or venues that would generate a rent income of more than the club is prepared to pay, then they should present their...

    Hypocrisy

Yes, the rent could have been renogtiated as part of the due dilligence leading to the take over. But a few things were quite different back then. First of all - the business plan was made by Ranson. Not sisu. And his focus was to take us to PL and so I think he didn't even think about the rent...
