I am celebrating the win. It was ugly and I wasn't happy with our lack of urgency first half and start of the 2nd too, but we turned the screw and pulled it out the bag. We simply must get something at Leshtur though.

Away is the key. We have to pick up points away.

Isn't Baker Shit (Yet Again) Thread...

But not only was his passing and crossing shocking, he also is too weedy and gets knocked off the ball shockingly easily too. I like him when he's on form, but how often does that happen? He seems well short of what is required to be a consistent Championship level footballer.

    Weren't Barnsley dreadful

They worked really hard and closed down space, but offered absolutely nothing in terms of threat whatsoever. Seems like they were playing for the draw from the first whistle. Just three shots all game, Murphy with nothing to do and no corners the entire 90 mins. Could understand it if they...

Isn't Baker Shit (Yet Again) Thread...

I thought Baker was truly, truly shocking. He overhit every pass and overhit every cross. Thorn was right to bring him off, but really should have done so at half-time. I didn't boo or cheer his suibbing but was really relieved when he came off.

    CCFC vs Barnsley

If it were 4-0 can you just imagine the confidence that would bring. Not going to happen though i think. Sticking with 2-1.

is the match on tv anywhere?

You can but scout around and see if you can find it anywhere.

Remaining home games ALL look winnable

There's certainly a fair few fixtures down there where the teams at the bottom play each other.

Looking at our rivals' fixtures does make interesting reading. Forest - Donny, Millwall, Brighton, Bristol C, Blackpool, Pompey Have to say they must be pretty happy indeed with that run of fixtures. Donny - Peterbro, Brighton, Reading, Derby, Millwall, Burnley, Blues, Pompey, Ipswich...

Remaining home games ALL look winnable

Fair enough. I just think if I start believing we will do it I am going to be really down in the dumps come the end of the season and well pee'd off. If I prepare myself now it cushions the blow somewhat. I have gradually been getting used to the idea of League One since Christmas.

    CCFC vs Barnsley

I did predict a win last week, so will stick with that. 2-1 to the City. Am very apprehensive though and have a sneaky feeling we could quite easily slip up.

Remaining home games ALL look winnable

It's been such a shit season, Oakey, that's why. If we hadn't been in the bottom 3 since October I might have been a tad more optimistic. If we can get out of the bottom 3 now why were we unable to do so previously?

    Free fall?

Yep, i took it that he meant if we got a draw and lost every other away game it will have at least improved. 1 point is better than none.

Excellent. At this speed it sould all be done and dusted by 2015.

    Free fall?

Sounds like if we go down the takeover won't happen. if the takeover doesn't happen expect us to be in a relegation dogfight in League One this time next year.

Remaining home games ALL look winnable

Hope is completely different to believing. I hope we survive. Again I ask though, we have won 6 games all season, why do you think we can win all but 1 of our home games and get something in two away games?

Remaining home games ALL look winnable

Okay, let's analyse it all. 1. We have had no unbeaten run at all, all season to speak of. The best we have managed is 3 games (1 win, 2 draws) back in August. We now suddenly need an unbeaten run. 2. We have the worst away record in the entire football league and have lost 9 away games in a...

    Another chance to escape relegation

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we didn't win this one. We should have been out of the bottom 3 last week and we botched it. Today there is going to be increased pressure on us. To survive is a massive, massive ask. I can see us buckling under that pressure. To be quite honest, I think...

We just are. Unless we can suddenly do something about our terrible away form.
