I didn't say they were poor, Astute. I said they were dreadful. And I quite clearly meant by that, that they had no intention whatsoever of making the game a proper contest or indeed of going out to try and win the game. They had 3 shots all game, Murphy had nothing to do for the 90 mins and...
Disagree somewhat. The commentators agreed that it was awful for about 60 mins or so, but then said that it then got a lot more exciting after that. Ian completely disagreed with that, but I thought as soon as we began to turn the screw and put them under pressure the game was a lot more...
It will for sure, but there is no way we are going to get 49 points. We are on 28 now. 49 would mean 6 wins and 3 draws from 13 games. That would have to be top of the table leader form.
We need it to be around 42-43 to have any chance. I reckon we still need 5 wins and that is a vey tough...
Think the argument here, to sum it all up is;
Had we played really well, people would be saying "Well if we play like that every week we have a really good chance of staying up."
Rather than, as yesterday we didn't play well, particularly in the first half, when we could be saying, "Well if...
I thought Platt played really well today. Some great flick-ons, he held the ball up well and nearly scored a goal that whisked past the post before he got his winner.
Definitely MOTM for me.
I was unhappy with our approcah to the game today. As Claus Jorgensen said on the CWR commentary, he expected us to be really up for it from the off and for us to give it a real go and to be at their throats. It simply didn't happen. We didn't wake up until about 65 mins.
Happening too much...
We are now on 28. I think we will need 44, possibly 45.
That means 16 or 17 more points. We something on our travels, cos we simply can't expect to win every home game.
Agree. thought he was worse than Sheff for sure. Just thought Mcsheffrey simply wasn't in the game, whereas Baker on the other hand just couldn't pass, cross or run.
'No, he was very, very average today and I wouldn't believe there is anyone out there who would make him MOTM.'
Alan Numptynuts: CWR, 5.02 p.m, Saturday 25th February 2012. :facepalm:
That guy doesn't half talk some bollocks.
Just wish Bell could be bloody consistent too though.
That is one thing Baker and Bell have in common. You never know what you are going to get with them and you only get one good game in 4 matches.
