Think people are getting a little carried away. It's just one game.
I recall Leigh Jenkinson's step over having us all drooling after one game.
Nimely was great yesterday, but it was just one game.
Don't get the Clingan marks.
Apart from some very good corners he put in I thought he was distinctly average and a couple of mistakes lead to Boro chances that could well have ended in goals.
Any neutral watching that game will have thought Boro were all over us. They showed chance after chance for them, then showed our 3 goals and then only when we had the 3 goals did they show any further opportunities.
The game was a lot more one sided than was portrayed on that show.
Yes, Boro...
What so Sunderland can call us cheats yet again?
Rather take our own chances to be honest, but guess we'll grab anything going in our favour at the moment. Don't wish ill on any club, but it is self-inflicted. Splashing money around like it was water.
Just heard Mick McCarthy asking where Lady Luck was today for his team ."Penalty, sending off, carried off" he bemoaned. "Where was Lady Luck today?"
Hmmmmm..
Crystal clear penalty. As clear as the nose on your face. No doubt whatsoever.
Sending off. Clear sending off...
It's just one game today.
Yes, we played really well, yes let's all give plaudits, but, it was against 10 men and Boro have themselves been on a sticky run and we did have an own goal to our favour and we did possibly get some luck with the 2nd goal and it maybe not being over the line.
Don't...
Ipswich, Leeds, Barnsley, Palace, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Peterborough, Millwall and Doncaster.
I can see 4 wins out of that lot. Then maybe a couple of draws and 3 defeats.
We need to start winning on our travels.
No bad performances I would say.
Clingan was a bit off the pace and drifted out of the game at times, but thought Platt and Nimely were both excellent and McShuff was always a problem for the Boro defence. Deegan had a good first half and Cranie and Keogh were both pretty solid at the back, as...
I always make a point of never criticising any player who comes to the club and am always willing for them to have an opportunity to show what they can do.
Remember when Platt was linked he was given loads of stick, but today he proved what he can do.
