Yeah I agree that they haven’t been great of late, but I trust him now to change that. Part of the reason is because we have approached lots of away games in the same manner we have our home ones.
Id rather Lampard just picks whatever he sees fit for an away game at West Brom, rather than employ the exact same tactics in all games until the end of the season.
That being said, I hope the fullbacks are a little less high as they seemed to be against Boro.
We chose our moments well, we didn’t press like that all game. Kept up the intensity first half. Start of second half we sat back, kept our shape and let them have the ball for a bit to try and ride out a possible storm.
It’s been highlighted by not just me, but plenty of media outlets, that as...
It’s to be expected, with the appointment of Hellberg and their uptick in form, they’re bound to think this could finally be their year and it still could be.
Worth pointing out, Boro have one way of playing, which they are undoubtedly excellent at.
We have a fair few different ways of playing, which we can employ depending on the opponent (sometimes to great or sometimes to no success 🤣). That is one of the reasons we are where we currently are.
I’m trying not to get too carried away in case he’s crap in the next game, but I was super impressed by him.
edit - just to clarify I thought he’d be good, but he was better in yesterday’s game than I thought he would be.
