Because if the team win - and God forbid keeps winning - eventually there won't be much purpose in forcing out the owners.

There is no pending land deal...

As you say: It's easy to criticise ... But from what (little) we have been told they are looking to use approximately the same approach as when the Ricoh was build: Sell off leases to fund some of the building cost and as a result the remaining interest is lower than you expect. The Ricoh cost...

You accuse sisu of not being able to 'change their spots' and at the same time proudly say you won't ever change yours. Isn't it actually the case that because you are unable to change your spots you firmly believe nobody else is? Sisu have changed their spots a few times - or rather their...

Hindsight is what you use every time you refer to the past. The point is that it could all have been avoided long before sisu even came here. I know 100% that buying CCC's shares were never on offer - it's something that definitely would have been revealed in the court cases. CCC only seem...

When ACL was first set up it should have had a 250yr lease. That way ACL's mortgage could have been on better (longer) terms and the club could have been offered a much lower rent. Then there never would have been a rent issue. Plus it would have been a better investment case for sisu to take...

We accuse sisu of being secretive and non-communicating. Interesting that we shall support a potential owner who won't relieve his identity, his motives or his plans.

What got us back from Northampton..

It was Mr Eastwood who said two years. From the press conference (http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/happened-wasps-announce-move-ricoh-7900368)

What got us back from Northampton..

And suddenly CCC stopped saying 'drop the JR' ... In my mind the most logical scenario was CCC/ACL were forced by Wasps to bring back the club. That or no deal. It helps Wasps financially and at the same time take out some of the risk CCC have with the £14m loan.

What got us back from Northampton..

I am not sure the league could force the club back. They could have imposed points penalties or eliminated us from the leagues yes, but I don't think they could interfere (take side) in a (non-football) creditor conflict.

And now they have lend to a rugby club that has similar financial history to the football club ....

    Best Ever Year ?

87 for me - also a great year for me personally. That year stands out as a marker for how good it gets.

There is no pending land deal...

Erm - wasn't that asset the lease? So if ACL went bankrupt with no money to distribute to creditors all that would revert was the lease. Kind of risky if there was no other sports at the Ricoh.

There is no pending land deal...

Management fees is a bit of a myth. It dates back to SBS&L, ccfc holdings and limited sharing one bank account. All costs were paid by that account and once a year the cost was distributed to the other companies as 'management fees'. No money related to 'management fees' has ever left the group...

What got us back from Northampton..

The advertising value diminished when we were relegated to L1. I think ACL were the biggest loser in that department when the club left - think new sponsor deal.

What got us back from Northampton..

But fans are fickle - most will come back when the team perform. Remind me how many were at the first game back?

What got us back from Northampton..

Another math exercise: Initial rent deal at Ricoh £1.2m with insignificant match day income. One year in Northampton at £150k rent minus probably £2m in lost profit from ticket and shirt sales ... total cost about £2m give or take. That opened up for 4 years at the Ricoh at £100k rent plus...
