    Fisher on new stadium

They haven't even found and bought the land yet, so difficult to project what other businesses that can 'assist' the funding and payback of interest. Could be a hotel, could be housing, could be an IKEA depending of the potential demand in that region. Don't you think the prospect they present...

    Fisher on new stadium

When the Ricoh was build ... what was the cost? £110m+? Yet we 'only' paid £1.3m yearly rent even though the interest rate was way higher back then. The stadium was only a part of the complex - other companies like Tesco and the Casino paid a handsome part of the build. ACL then bought their...

    Fisher on new stadium

If I understand this correctly it's not different from the setup with the Ricoh - only different owners. A new company is formed and financed by new investors. They will buy the land, build the stadium and other facilities. Maybe a hotel, housing, a supermarket ... This company will most likely...

These £8.5 million loss headlines !!

But then we just tell 'people' that it's the hedge fund taking out £5m in management fees. People will understand. Other than that 'People' are right. But I don't think they care tbh.

So, if I was in sisu's shoes? Well, I would be very pleased it wasn't my own money, but money from rich investors, who have placed a tiny percentage of their wealth into a risk taking hedge fund. A lottery ticket. I believe the original funds each had more than 10 investors, and if the numbers...

What management fees? How much is that? Are you suggesting sisu take out money to themselves? The major creditors are the shareholders. ACL didn't take a hit on money owed to them - but the lease was broken and rent is now >£1m lower per year.

Because the owners converted some old debt to equity - and injected fresh money as equity. That would all count as 'extra revenue' in the FFP calculation, but not in the Profit & Loss statement.

Yes - similar system to the one in League one - only it's 55% (in L1 it's 60%).

I believe they ended up losing £400t because they lost their main tenant.

Yes, but it doesn't say when and why. It does say how though - by issuing new shares (so not an additional loan). It could well be in the pre-season and it could well be to offset the SMCP budget (which is based predominantly on previous season - that was the Sixfield season - revenue). Fresh...

£61m of debt wiped out in latest CCFC accounts

The points he made regarding renting/owning the stadium were related as he tried to equal our present situation to Stockport (and see where the are now) and a potential future situation if we build and own a new stadium. He basically said we're lost either way. My point is that he generalizes...

£61m of debt wiped out in latest CCFC accounts

Yes it is interesting, especially coming from an outsider expert. His explanation on the shares and dividends was very good. But him being an outsider means he doesn't know everything related to this club. He recognize the low revenue was from a season at Sixfields, but fail to recognize we'd...
