So....more of the same if we somehow stay up?

Yes, but I wasn't just talking about Bell and Baker was I.

Clingan is not pants. He is slow though and does telegraph nearly all his passes and has been responsible for a number of mistakes that have led to goals this season. He also has had a very poor season in general. It is no coincidence that our play from the midfield has been so much quicker...

    City 'chasing' Peterborough striker

Sinclair is a Sky Blues target Peterborough chairman Barry Fry has revealed that Championship rivals Coventry have enquired about striker Emile Sinclair. Thursday 8th March. Right, so did we enquire before the embargo? Have we enquired during the embargo with the hope of getting...

    Young player of the year

Thorn is saying Clarke is the better tackler. Christie is more of a marauding full back, whose strength most probably lies in his attacking capabilities.

Bell I think is injured. I know it didn't work very well at Middlesborough for him, but you could accomodate McDonald up front by pushing Nimely wide. The lad certainly has pace to burn and as long as he's given licence and felxibilty to come in field at times, as Sheff does, that could work...

Our Survival Down To Team Selection, Over To You Andy

When Platt plays the ball is played longer. If you play 3 up front the midfield would be weakened for sure, but with a longer ball ball that can manifest itself that you are not hurt so much by it. Would be exciting, Platt to knock the ball down and two fast strikers alongside.

AT instructed the players from the touchline to let them know Platt was off and a little fella on, but the instruction took 10 mins to travel from the players' ears to their brains.

We need to change our tactics if it is. When McDonald came on on Tuesday we carried on playing long high balls as if Platt was still there for about 10 mins til we realised that wasn't working.

Probably won't be an issue anyway. Thorn has said Platt has a back injury and he will have to see how he is for Saturday. So could be Nimely and McDonald whatever.

What the hell was going on with that penalty?

AT says; "Nathan tripped their player outside the area and he fell in the box." Maybe Thorn is still struck down by his virus. :thinking about:
  12. Otis

What the hell was going on with that penalty?

Only just, but seems clear. Bit of an odd thing for Thorn to say. The ball is in the area and the Palace player's right leg is in the penalty area as Cameron takes his feet away.

So....more of the same if we somehow stay up?

Nothing wrong will Bell and Baker? :o:o I think it's the likes of Bell and Baker and their 'play well once every 4 games' situation that has contributed so much to our very awful season.

Or we play 3 up front. Big gamble of course. but maybe we need a big gamble right now.
  15. Otis

What the hell was going on with that penalty?

Thorn is saying this morning that he has watched the video and that Cameron's challenge was outside the area. :thinking about: I therefore just had another look and for me it is definitely inside. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17286952#asset

To drop Nimely I think would be total madness. We have looked so much the better team since his arrival. In my opinion he has to play.

So....more of the same if we somehow stay up?

If we keep those great kids. Big clubs will have been watching Christie and Bigi and Thomas. If offers come in for them they will be gone too, along with Keogh, Clingan and Cranie. There could be another 6 or 7 gone. Then what would we be left with? Bell? Baker?
  18. Otis

So....more of the same if we somehow stay up?

Yes, but it's all down to how many of our squad we can keep. If we sell our best players it is highly unlikely we will do well. We will have an even weaker squad. I am expecting all our best players to be sold. Only hope would be quality loans I feel.
  19. Otis

So....more of the same if we somehow stay up?

But what makes you think we would do well? We go down and all our best players will be sold. Another stuggle looms. Gates would drop.

Thomas is the better footballer. Christie has done brilliantly though. Reckon it could go to him.
