but can't have it both ways. No way UK can have a legal referendum on May's deal before a new EU Parliament sits

No deal vote was not binding. do they/ can they make it binding? Have to argue now there is a difference to May deal - not in substance but in circumstance. EU sticking to their guns on no changes to withdrawal deal.

    Breaking- New Consortium Bid

always comes back to this lack of transparency over who the buyers/investors are. as long as it could get past FL rules it shouldn't be an issue. let's face it FL don't care whose funds SISU are managing

See even small extension getting messy. Many EU (Brussels ) leaders don't want an extension past May 23 because of elections. Also apparently pushing to have included an acceptance that Withdrawal agreement cannot be renegotiated. Have to wait for EU leaders to have their say.

People talking about a General election. Don't see that as appealling to EU as regards extensions or altered deals. No absolute guarantees about who would win or decisive majorities. Every chance of a greater number of hardliners being selected and returned.

Few are full Brexit like they think they voted before. Few wanted the terms that are currently on offer but that's all that is on offer. This common thread amongst all proposing any leave deal (bar a Hard Brexit) is belief that they can still cherry pick whilst EU have mde it abundantly clear...

ok your last sentence (like opinion polls :) ) reads slightly different than intended. So in the spirit of the debate I will" withdraw that statement" (my last bit) Mr Speaker :)

He came very close to crossing to Labour when he sat as an MP. He received little or no Tory support in several of the Speaker elections whilst being mainly supported by Labour. As for your last sentence you just make yourself look foolish when you move away from your better points of view and...

Problem with Bercow (for those that want to go on about one convention) is that he has broken many other conventions. He has politicised the role of the speaker which will be a fundamental change in the role of the Speaker going forward. As speaker should not have declared his remain vote. I...

That's the point. 2 different yougov polls with is if the end result ishaving a referendum and remaining in eu a good option 37%.others are different types of leave options. Nearly all leave options have a minority approval rating when asked would that option respect the referendum result. My...

Exactly where this type of polling gets us into a mess. This poll is for people's vote yet another yougov poll on same dates for the Times shows only 37% saying have a referendum and stay in EU is a good thing. Problem with so many of these polls is they find the results the customer who...

Yes DUP wants out of Europe. Remove the backstop or put a time limit on it and they'll vote to leave. DUP are still a right wing hardline Unionist party.

Can't claim DUP are remainers. Always been a eurosceptic party due to an underlying belief / fear that EU ultimately wants a united Ireland. DUP objection is not to leaving but any possible different treatment from rest of UK.

what they said they would respect the vote but didn't say how they'd do it. Even now Corbyn trying to rally support for a Norway agreement. So still wants to go just not in the same way other factions do.

there won't be a solitary veto - it would only happen if one of the mini-blocks like Visegrad voted as a group.
