I'm confused. In what way we were lucky? 1. Murphy didn't have a single shot to save all night. 2. Preston hardly threatened at all. 3. Their two goals both came from very heavy deflections. 4. We had a stack of really good chances (Clarke clean though on goal, Baker hitting the bar, Baker...

    Preston Match Thread (JPT)

I thought Jordan Clarke played okay. Some dodgy stuff here and there, but then made up for it with some intelligent play too. These match threads do make me laugh. Winning and it's all warmth and sunshine ... then go behind and we're shit and awful and the world is a very dark and bleak place...

    A week of cup upsets

Well, there you have it! We won thanks to my migraine! Had a really bad migraine yesterday. Tried to sleep it off and went to bed for 4 hours, but couldn't shake it. Lo and behold I didn't make it up the Ricoh last night and as a result we bloody won! You all now need to hope and pray I am...

    No sbt for today

I haven't got £1.36, so number 6 is looking most unlikely! Number 1 and/or number 3 seem most likely. That's if anything happens at all.

    Preston at home.

Coventry City boss Mark Robins says his team will try to "match" Preston North End when they arrive for Thursday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy northern semi-final at the Ricoh Arena. North End came in for criticism from home fans for their robust approach when the two sides shared a...

    A week of cup upsets

Starting to think maybe I shouldn't go. Missed two home games this season. Brum 3-2 and Walsall 5-1. Our two best home wins of the season. Maybe if I don't go (though I do have a ticket) we will win. :o

Yep, remember that Simod Cup game well. Didn't we miss a couple of pens that night?

Get the feeling it is going to go to one of the old stalwarts though. Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. They are as good as it gets. Then the Packers have Aaron Rodgers, another top quarterback and the Falcons, Matt Ryan. Step too far for Seattle this year.

    A week of cup upsets

Macclesfield beating Cardiff. Luton beating Wolves Bradford beating Villa And now Swansea beating Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. I therefore see no reason why we can't add to these upsets tomorrow and win a game at home for a change!

For £60 I would be expecting to sit on the Queen's lap and hand out the trophy to the winning captain.. Sent from my KIS using Tapatalk 2

    Hands off donny!

Nope. Difference here is, we are pretty much favourite for this competition. In the past we have been underdogs and only once has that worked in our favour ..... 1987. Preston is the stumbling block. The hardest opponent out of the sides left in. Beat them and you have to believe we can do it...

    Hands off donny!

Andy Thorn!!!!!!!!!!! Followed by ... Richard Shaw!!!! There is your answer! I am nearly always optimistic. But when your club is being guided by Coco the Clown and Billy Smart's Circus you sometimes have to ride the storm until the circus leaves town! Oh, and did we win 5 in a row?

    New film releases.

Also, possibly; World War Z - A zombie apocalypse movie, with Brad Pitt strangely enough, starring in it. Sinatra - A Martin Scorsese film about Ol' Blue Eyes.

Nope. Nearly always optimistic. Andy Thorn knocked my optimism for a while there, but now I'm right back on track!

Taping it. Will watch it when I am back from the game. Massive match for us this. Win this and you would have to fancy our chances over two legs against Crewe or Bradford. Then Orient or Southend in the final. I am convinced our name is on the cup anyway, but tomorrow obviously just takes us...
