    Kit WC Round 2 19/20 v 01/02

I think the 01/02 kit was much better, but it seems to me a lot of people judge the kits by the team they associated playing in that kit, hence the 19/20 promotion winning kit seemingly being preferred in this instance. An all sky blue kit goes back to the origins of Jimmy Hill's Sky Blues and...

    Hamer - Championship PotS

Let's see where is at the end of the transfer window. I've seen reports that PL teams are interested but that Sheffield are currently demanding a hefty transfer fee.

Who was in goal the furst game you saw ?

Bill Glazier v Arsenal 1972 Glazier was a photographers dream as he was a very athletic goalkeeper, which always added extra panache to his saves.

    Carabao Cup Draw

Don't get me wrong, the FA Cup is a completely different matter and is a competition I always want to see us give our best shot. The League Cup however is just an unneccesary distraction and there is pretty much no real reward until you reach the semi finals. Only last season we had a 'glamour'...

    Carabao Cup Draw

Never too bothered about this competition. I hope Lampard plays our squad players. If they are good enough to win the game fantastic, if not then so be it.

Players who we signed but never played in the First Team (or played just one game). Go !

Forgotten his name now but Big Ron bought a Ghanaian 'wonderkid' who scored in the League Cup for us and then never seemed to play again.

Worst Player You've Seen Live Since Lockdown (Ex Collins)

Peter Vincenti was a frustrating watch.

    Ex Player Watch

I think one person wanted him. Wasn't it the guy who provides undecipherable graphs?

    Milan Van Exit

Sorry to poo poo your story from the Villa physio you know, but surely nobody is training right now? Its still a week until the beginning of July, which is when Championship teams usually start back at training.

Players who we signed but never played in the First Team (or played just one game). Go !

Mick Harford and Chris Whyte only played once, but both played a big part for us in those games.

    Matchday Rewind Arsenal 0 - 3 Coventry City | Sat, 14 Aug, 1993

The Clock End was closed so City fans were put in the stand next to it, but there were probably only about a 1,000 of them. I was in a group of 8 London based City fans that got tickets in the Arsenal seats close to the City fans. We kept fairly quiet until the 2nd goal but all stood and cheered...

    Matchday Rewind Arsenal 0 - 3 Coventry City | Sat, 14 Aug, 1993

To be fair while Quinn obviously deserved MoM for the goals, Wegerle and Ndlovu also tore their famed defence apart. It also looked like we had unveiled a future star in Tony Sheridan, unfortunately his career with us effectively ended within the next week.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

We need to see how Bassette is looking pre-season, but I'm not sure loaning him out is a good move on our part. There is no way he will go on loan to league 1 regardless.

Favourite XI since relegation from PL

Trying to fit in a Lampard 4-3-3 off the top of my head my team would be: Westwood Van Ewijk McFadzean Turner Fox Rudoni Hamer Doyle Baker Gyokeres McSheffrey

    Wright

I don't agree with the Haji hate and am with those who think we are better keeping him, but I don't see the point in finding an alternative hate figure instead. Morrell was not garbage. Yes he didn't have the quality that Stern John had, but you can't have a team of Stern John's or Haji...

    Matchday Rewind Coventry City 2 - 1 Sunderland | Sun, 06 Aug, 2006

Think this was Mcsheffrey's last game before we sold him to Birmingham, which swiftly brought our hopes down for the season ahead

    Your personal City cult hero

Andy Blair, David Phillips, David Smith, Sean Flynn, Cedric Roussel, Carl Baker and Michael Doyle are players that I always found myself routing for, despite a sizable number of our support being critical of them.

So where does hamer go now?

Did that actually happen? I remember reading at the time a comment that everyone on the coach realised Hamer and Gyokores were leaving, but that is different to them actually standing up and announcing to everyone that they were leaving.
