I don’t think it’s bullshit mate. I think it’s a genuine change in timings that’s been spun a bit and not helped by the awful BBC “data protection” article. Case numbers will always be subject to testing arrangements but critical and death counts should be solid.

Yeah wouldn’t be surprised. It’s been roughly 30% a day (though dropping which is good) taking the last full day and extrapolating forwards: 87+30%= 113 yesterday + 30% = 147 today. But I don’t expect it to be that high. I’m hoping 87 was a spike mind.

Also for those that get excited/depressed about single numbers, that’ll likely mean a big spike today as it will cover 29.5 hours instead of 24.

Great that we’re up there with transparent liberal democracies like China and Iran. I honestly have trouble believing this. Really hoping it’s confusion about the cutoff change and we’ll get proper numbers today.
