I just have more faith in the British public. Maybe naively but still.
I think the main takeaway so far, other than the general incompetence of our government and them spending all their energy spinning rather than acting, has been to take the risk seriously. Successive U.K. governments have had warnings and not acted.
Reminds me. Spoke to a mate last night who’s little brother is a drug dealer and is carrying on as normal, lives with his mum who is high risk due to a lung condition. Boils my blood.
Staying stable is the curve. Italy’s numbers have been flat recently then starting to decline. Expect us to keep increasing exponentially for another week or so and be happy if we don’t.
Complete guess but both have had virus outbreaks recently and are probably both better prepared and more used to social distancing already. I know SK did a lot of tracking and testing as well.
