    Your Portfolio

I’m looking to buy at the moment. Only got 10% deposit which is shit as lenders are withdrawing in favour of 15% minimum apparently. All convinced there’ll be a price crash. Luckily I can afford to wait it out. Think I’ll keep saving for a few more months and see how Corona and Brexit shake out...

The linked article is dated 19th June so maybe not, I hadn’t heard of studies showing antibodies decreased. I think I got it at the start of lockdown which means my immunity is probably gone soon, just as lockdown ends. Concerning.

    Bit warm

You’ll know this. I’m wanting to drive up to the Netherlands to see my missus’ parents and ideally take the kids along and visit Paris and the Black Forest on the way and make a trip of it. What are the restrictions on going to Europe right now? Can you just rock up to a ferry like before? I...

Progress is messy. You could look at any successful protest movement in history and find abhorrent acts and dodgy ideas. That’s because it’s a fall back system when democracy isn’t working how it should. Not everything has to be neat and perfect to be effective and expecting it to be is just a...

All things being equal you’d expect mortality to drop as time goes on and we learn to deal with the symptoms better. I can only assume it’s a change in testing. This is generally why I always go for deaths over cases.

    Realistic signings

Not sure about that one. Coming back from a niggly injury, seems in the Allen/O’Hare mould (maybe O’Hares turned us down?) but with a worse goals/assists record. Hardly set the world alight at Crewe.

I honestly don’t believe that’s real. Seems too much like a Remainer caricature. But then I used to think all the Brexit morons in comment sections were bots sooo

On cases, maybe maybe not: Do we know if they’re reporting Pillar 1,2 or both in the briefings? Also one more death than this time last week. Concerning. Edit: yep looks like they’re only reporting around 20% of cases now. Of course they are.

The fact we can’t beat this shower is shameful. Heading in the right direction though. I think you’ll see some Tory voters break in Jan when it hits home Brexit has properly happened and no one can stop it.

    Rebecca Long-Bailey sacked

Are you? What even is your point? First you claim Farage agreeing on social issues proves Starmer is pulling the party to the right. Makes no sense. Then you claim it’s different when he supports Corbyn because that was a leadership campaign, again makes no sense. You’re just desperate to...

Nah, paradigm shifts and revolutions are overrated. WHAT DO WE WANT? SMALL INCREMENTAL CHANGE! WHEN DO WE WANT IT? WHEN THE SOCIOECONOMIC INDICATORS SUGGEST! But in all seriousness this is a once in a lifetime chance to make big changes to the country for the better and set us up for...

Completely agree. It should be something everyone can get behind as well, the right always want immigrants to integrate (as do I) the left want a reduction in racism. It’s one reason I have a real problem with both special religious schools and schools that become de facto one race or another...

    Bl**dy CET got me again!

I think I’m right in saying papers usually have someone write the headlines specifically with no input from the article author to get the best click through. I’ve seen lots of national journos complain the headline doesn’t reflect their article. @Tom Leach being serious for a minute, the radio...
