Move Wright on as it hasn’t worked?? Madness. How long do you give the next guy, February?

    Milan van Ewijk Appreciation Thread

We’ve not been used to squad depth. And we’ve not been used to transfer fees either - so when we see £4m it looks huge, but these days it’s not a massive amount.

Something to piss a few off , XG table

There’s also a subtle difference that Wright for me creates more openings for himself whereas someone like Godden relies more heavily on service.

    Recruitment has been shocking

I think Latibeaudiere at RB recently has been to shore things up and stop the rot. He doesn’t look comfortable on the ball to me and is best suited centrally. Van Ewijk looks like a good signing - it’s a good point made earlier that he’s a 2m signing of yesteryear that now costs 4m due to the...

I’m assuming the Robins stuff is a wind up? He’s simply the best manager we’ve ever had - bar none.

Something to piss a few off , XG table

Backs up three points I think are relevant to us. Our strikers need to settle, when we’re around the box we need to be a bit less intricate and possession in itself wins you nothing.

Get a grip, this is a rebuilding season.

We had Hamer for two games and Gyokeres was long gone by the start of the season.

Those who have played a part this season so far: Wilson, McFadzean, Bidwell, Eccles, Sheaf, O’Hare, Godden, Kelly, Palmer and Allen. That’s 10.

How can Robins be clueless “at the moment”? He’s not changed brain.

A huge number of the current team were one kick away from promotion last year. It’s crazy to now say they are not very good.

What needs to happen in Jan window

For those who are saying King hasn’t invested any money he did pay a chunky sum to take the club over. I’d be amazed if we bring a forward in. I’d rather get one expensive MF signing

OK, maybe need to phrase differently. I think he looks busy but it often comes to nothing. Accept he’s had limited game time .

Yes, agree with the subs. To be honest I’ve not seen much end product from Sakamoto but he’s tricky

All fit. I’d go with Wilson Ewijk Kitching Thomas Bidwell Eccles Sheaf Allen O’Hare Simms. Wright

    Recruitment has been shocking

Coming out of last year we had one contracted centre half. That had to be fixed and it has been. It’s great if other signings hit the ground running but it’s often not the way. When you think of some of our best players in the recent past they’ve taken time to settle. 17 games is not enough time.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

They’ve all had patchy service. Wright looks a very good player to me. Simms looks OK but not as natural a footballer as Wright. I’d probably say we’ve paid a little over the odds for Wright but we do have a good player.

    Jay DaSilva Signs!

The myth seems to be that Dasilva is pulling trees up going forward - he’s not - he just receives the ball and returns it. An odd signing for me.

Some of the team is gelling. Defensively we have started to look ok. Going forward Robins needs to decide who his best two are (Wright and Simms for me). You can’t carry on with three CF’s as the link to midfield is missing and it looks disjointed like yesterday.

    Jay DaSilva Signs!

    Shouldn’t have ever been dropped

    Josh Eccles

Sheaf is outstanding. Eccles is not far behind and has progress to make. They would both be pushing for selection in most champ teams
