I think the Dasilva / Bidwell debate is over. JDS is okay but he’s not in the same street as Bidwell.

Wright had a very good game. He could have easily had a goal or two but that will come. Millwall simply couldn’t cope with him and hence a good win. If you’re knocking Wright today you just don’t understand the game.

Bit ironic that in the same thread there is an argument that we underachieved last year because we had stellar Robins signings in Gyokeres and Hamer in the squad alongside posts that say he shouldn’t be trusted with transfers

Agree with that. It’s a peculiar mix of looking very good but achieving not a lot. I think he’ll be a very useful squad player if not a regular starter.

I’d go 6 Wright and 5 Simms. I think all the defenders have been 6’s. Not much between them.

He may have stayed. But equally I don’t think he gets you more than 10-12 Prem goals.

I think Binks looks a bit more polished but a bit less effective defensively. Nice problem to have.

Totally irrelevant. We got a brilliant deal. He’s probably worth about £25m now. If anyone pays £60m they’ve been well and truly done. Players go up and down in value all the time but funnily enough people won’t pay the same fee for a championship goal scorer as they would for one playing in...

Back four surely has to be Van Ewijk, Thomas, Kitching and Bidwell if it’s a four. Yes that leaves good players on the bench. That’s the squad depth we need.

It’s not as simple as amount in versus out equals better or worse squad. Do you class Gyokeres as £20m or £1m as he’s had both values as part of our squad? We might have a £30m player somewhere that we don’t know about yet.

I’m not sure we’ve set aside caution. We’ve received about £35m and spent about £25m.
