The difference is that as it stands we are a Coventry team temporarily playing in Northampton. If it were to become permanent then that moves the goalposts completely. A Nuneaton team playing in Coventry would be simply that. A Nuneaton team playing in Coventry.

If that happened VOR, you really would see a protest. No way City fans would stand for that on any level. Think Nuneaton fans would be just as pissed off too.

My interest is waning too. They have been such a huge part of my life for over 40 years, but if you take the club away from someone so they can't watch them play then of course interest wanes. It's like having a PS4 but it's in another room and you're never allowed to go in there to play on it.

If a football team comes to play at the Ricoh then it has to be CCFC or a phoenix Coventry City club (should CCFC fail to return). Can't think of anything more embarrassing than having some other town's club playing in Coventry and Coventry City playing outside Coventry.
