Truly, truly shocking.
Being described as the worst Ashes perfromance ever!
6 - Times England dismissed for under 200.
2 - Only twice did England score more than 300 the whole series.
1 - Century partnership by England. 8 century partnerships by Australia.
28 - Runs scored by George Bailey...
Was hoping it was going to be a flatpack, build your own stadium.
If it had have been, then this time next week we could have been playing in someone's back garden.*
*somewhere in the Coventry area.
Which fans though? This is puzzling me a little as I never backed the bloke and seemingly loads of other fans didn't either..
He wasn't my choice, though I didn't exactly complain when he got the job, but I felt at the time we needed someone more experienced in.
To be fair, there's been a few where a player has been fouled but not gone down and the penalty hasn't been given because he's stayed on his feet.
Works both ways. Refs need to give a pen if there's a foul whatever, not just if a player goes down.
I just remember Roberts saying it was a complete change and breath of fresh air when Robins came. Before, under Thorn, there was a total lack of discipline and it was all too pally pally, without strict training regimes etc.
I recall Brian Roberts saying he was shocked at what he saw behind the scenes and said the whole set-up resembled a holiday camp and everything was so laid back and lax.
Nice bloke but surely up there with the worst City managers ever. Technically inept doesn't even begin to describe it.
If they are going to get rid of any cup, get rid of the Milk/Littlewoods/Carling whatever it's called these days, League Cup!
The FA Cup should remain and clubs should honour it, want to win it and field their best sides in all rounds.
