    What happened to Haskell?

A point you often miss is that not everyone believes that SISU owning the stadium will in anyway assist the club. Those who side more with SISU regularly state that the £1.2m a year rent, not gaining match day revenues and the club not owning the ground was crippling the club. There is no...

Instead of house think more like a shop. Shop A has 15K customers a week spending £15 each and you have an offer to rent that for £150K a year. Shop B has 2K customers a week spending £10 each but they each buy a £3 pie that you get 50p profit from. Which shop would be better off with?

    Fisher & Waggot Deceive Seppala

This has always struck me as odd. He was constantly on there and was touted by the club as a big name in the tech world yet since leaving here there's been no trace of him online!

    An Arena 2000 Timeline

Would probably need OSB to explain exactly what happened but I think the jist of it is that barring promotion to the Prem SISU didn't have to pay the debts prior to the takeover (so no money was technically owed) yet the debt stayed on the books. Of course the other question is why at last...

Fixture pile-up. Eight games in March.

well if its Elvis that decided it's a good thing then we'll have to go with that but 8 games in 27 days seems a lot to me especially with our squad size. Players won't have much time to recover from little niggles. Would have made more sense to me to play it in Feb and either cancel or move...

    Pitch Invader at Arsenal

But where do you draw the line? If we're not going to accept sentences given by court for illegal activity shouldn't we apply that to everything? My point is people are saying he deserves the ban as it's illegal. So if it's an illegal act leave it to the courts to decide the punishment.

    Pitch Invader at Arsenal

If the argument is that he should be banned as its illegal doesn't it then follow that it should be left to the appropriate authorities, the courts, to deal with and decide on punishment? Where do you stop, it's illegal to smoke at most, if not all, grounds. Do with give everyone caught having a...

    Isn't today the day?

Not sure what you're getting at here? No matter what the FFP rules are they have still lost £14.7m in 2012-13 and £8.6m the season before haven't they? Would seem to indicate that owning and operating your own stadium and getting all the associated revnues doesn't resolve all the financial issues.

    Pitch Invader at Arsenal

Based on this I assume it has already been through the courts and he has been found guilty and the club is only enforcing the punishment ordered by the court? Some strange comments on this thread, people going on about players being attacked and stabbed bears no relation to what happened...

    How long, accountability ?

Of course no fan demands that, and some may moan if it is done, but a responsible owner would do it. If we are to believe the losses SISU claim they have made then even if rent was free and match day costs were paid by ACL we still wouldn't have that £1.2m to spend on wages as we'd still be...

    How long, accountability ?

Well of course the club had 50% of the management company and 100% of matchday revenues and chose to sell it and never exercise the buy back clause. Why should the club now be handed a third back for free?

    How long, accountability ?

And our average that season was 21,301 so I don't think that small shortfall is the root of all our problems. Of course the break even amount depends on other expenditure and having a large squad of older players on relatively big wages was a huge contributing factor.

    How long, accountability ?

That's a different question, I'm not asking if we got the best deal from the council. Had things gone to plan and the council not been involved at all would we have still been making payments, instead of rent against borrowing, and if so would they be more or less than the rent.

    How long, accountability ?

Is the problem people had with the £1.2m a year rent was that it was rent rather than a mortgage? If we had built the ground ourselves surely some of the cost would have come from finance so even if we'd owned the ground we still would have been making payments wouldn't we?

    Isn't today the day?

It's a joke really, this is the easy part of the process! I thought they'd at least buy a bit of land (which they can sell on later without really losing anything), get some off the shelf plans and submitt for planning permission. That's all relatively easy to do even if you have no intention of...

    How long, accountability ?

While I would never claim BR and his cronies did a good job its very simple for me - the buck stops with SISU. This wasn't some local businessmen scrambling to save the club from going out of existence who didn't really have the money this was a hedge fund who through they could make money off...

Well to be accurate Labovich claimed he had been misquoted and actually said could be as early as 3 weeks however this was followed by the journalist who wrote the piece coming on here and tell us he didn't misquote Labovich and he had said a definate 3 weeks. Given Labovich's track record with...

    interesting?

Don't think they're just sports, think they aim for regeneration of the city as well. As well as Browns they've recently purchased another place in the city centre to be used as an arts centre / music venue.

    interesting?

Can't do any harm. When Joy seemed to get a bit more active I thought she might get rid of Fisher and place all the blame on him. Easy to do, just say that was his policy not SISUs, draw a line under everything etc etc. Think we've gone beyond that now though, ACL and CCC appear to have left the...

    ACL out protest

What is the arguement here? Is it that parking should be the same price for everything or is it that parking price should change according to demand? In most places it seems to change according to demand, the O2 and Wembley are terrible for this, the price goes up massively when there is a big...
