To try and steer things back toward topic what potential sites are there in the N&BC area? There's the one the CET ran a couple of articles on that most people seemed to rule out due to issues with planning permission and access. There looks to be some free land right next to Nuneaton Town. Any...

    Moussa

Maybe when its said he's been offered a new contract the new offer is a lot lower than the old one and he's pissed off.

Hang on a minute. For the last few days you've been stating that who players sign for is totally based on who offers the most money.

Why is Ricoh bowl not used?

Possibly the more sensible course of action would be for that person to contact Higgs and find out if they accept single substantial amounts which is very different to having people out in the street collecting and constant fund raising.

They've also been offered a rolling 10 year lease and its been demonstrated previously that taking that and then paying off the balance of the term when the new ground is finished would be better financially than playing at Sixfields.

They've been offered a 3 year deal with the first year at a lower rate to offset any payment contractually owned to Northampton.

Sure they'll be back just in time for their summer break!

A note on the website would suffice. If you've announced something as happening and then have decided it won't, for whatever reason, it's courteous to inform people. If you don't you leave yourself open to accusations of failing to follow through on your promises or having something to hide.

If that is the case wouldn't it be wise to make an announcement that other than those who had the chance to attend those meetings he won't be meeting with anyone else?

    Playing at Sixfields

Not sure you can really use an argument that if away fans hadn't purchased tickets there would have been less people there! Given the away end holds 6000 if you're not going to count them you're always going to be at least 6000 short of capacity.

Why is Ricoh bowl not used?

The only major stadium tour is One Direction who are doing multiple dates at Manchester and London meaning they're skipping the Midlands totally. Rod Stewart is doing a handful of stadium dates, past that (and I'm not in the office at the moment to check) I don't think there's a whole lot on the...

    Reminder about Libel etc

You may have to go to court to prove you are right and / or the other side prove you are wrong but generally if you're telling the truth there's not a lot anyone can do other than try and bully you into a retraction (see SISU and the Guardian).

Why is Ricoh bowl not used?

I don't know how many times I have to repeat this before people believe it but that's the area I work in and i guarantee you the Ricoh is very highly thought of for stadium shows. Again if you're trying to read something into there being no concerts there this year or bands not returning you are...

Why is Ricoh bowl not used?

No concerts this summer is just a result of stadium filling bands touring cycles, anyone who is trying to read more into it is looking for a problem that isn't there. As for U21 internationals ignoring the fact that they don't repeat venues too often you have to wonder if the FA / FL role in...

    Playing at Sixfields

The atmosphere and the crowds would (or hopefully will) improve if the team ever improved. Look how people turned up for the JPT, I would think if we had started bit better in that game the atmosphere would have been great.

    Playing at Sixfields

I can't see, at L1 level with FFP operating, clubs are going to offering hugely differing terms so other factors come in to play. It would for me. If I got offered 2 jobs on the same salary and one company chasing me was a complete basket case on a downward spiral and the other was a well run...

    Playing at Sixfields

He'd probably think whoever was offering it him had experienced a mental breakdown! In an extreme case of course money is a factor, as is what level the signing team us at. If we offer Moussa £20K a week and Man Utd offer him £19K a week theres a decent chance he'll got to Man Utd isn't there...

This would be an easy point scoring exercise for the GCBTR candidate. If the question is asked they can't really ignore it and are they going to want to risk annoying their constituents by supporting us moving into their area.

    Playing at Sixfields

If you're talking about players playing at a higher level then it will always be hard to hold on to them. Most players want to play at the highest level possible, not to mention the money goes up pretty swiftly. However that's not the same as attracting L1 players. All things being equal (wages...

Why is Ricoh bowl not used?

Not really anything to do with that in my opinion. It's just one of those years where touring cycles align to mean there's an abnormally low number of stadium tours this summer. The Ricoh is very highly regarded as a music venue, hence the number of tours they get. I know some people moan that...
