So, reading between the lines we have an owner who bought a team because he thought he’d get a stadium and a stadium owner who bought a stadium because he wanted a team? I must admit I think King has dodged a bullet. Tenancy is actually a decent business model.

    Director of Football

No, but we need at least two who are good enough. At the moment we potentially have 1

    What on earth happened?

Agreed. Dovin, Kitching and Bidwell in for Plymouth. Torp out - still not seen him do anything near enough. Eccles in. Top 3 ok

We need to build a team around these players

Don’t think it’s quite that bad. Dovin - how do we know. Needs to play. Bidwell - perfectly good champ lb. Van Ewijk - just needs to not play occasionally. Sheaf. Anyone who thinks a group of players to build around shouldn’t include him is deluded. And up front we have good options.

    Why Collins?

Whatever he’s seen so far it’s not feasible that he can play again after yesterday

    Director of Football

A DoF might help. But to have any chance they need to bring a keeper and 3 defenders with them.

    Thomas Asante

I think we’ve got to be fair with BTA. He’s largely being used for 15 minutes at the end of games on the left wing. It’s not a scenario easy to impress in.

    It’s a new day it’s a new dawn

Does anyone actually know what the problem is with Kitching. To not be able to get a game ahead of Binks he must have done something unfathomably bad.

    Doug King

Of course he won’t put his own money in. He’s not invested emotionally. He has not even a tenuous connection to the club. It’s purely business.

    It’s a new day it’s a new dawn

He’s probably not so alarmed when we win???

    It’s a new day it’s a new dawn

He was too alarmed with the result and wanted to get in to address the team. Rather than engaging in meaningless gestures.

What is fairly apparent is that King is clueless football wise. Many owners are. The problem we have is that he’s handling the day to day as he is “The Board”. It won’t end well.

    Season over already?

Have a look at Ritchie for them today. Absolutely bossed us just by working hard. He’s a veteran. As Sheaf span around situations, Torp did his normal treacle running and Eccles looked bemused he just wanted the ball. It’s not a complex game.

    What on earth happened?

What happened? Our keeper engineered a complete momentum change

    It’s a new day it’s a new dawn

Granted. But he has no alternative for Van Ewijk. Crap though he’s been. His clearance for the third goal was one of a five year old.

    Brad Collins

Hmmm. That first goal was awful

    Season over already?

Season isn’t over. It will be invaluable for Lampard and we’ll be playing games!

    Doug King

He’s a businessman. Which hasn’t allowed him to see the value of a player or two that he doesn’t think he can sell on. It’s also why we have a lot of youngsters - who are terribly fragile.

    It’s a new day it’s a new dawn

Other than selecting Collins you can’t put this on Lampard. He’s inherited a squad with no defence. I’d like to know how he continues with Binks over Kitching but he can’t be blamed for previous defensive recruitment.

    Binks Clean Sheets

I’ve said it many times. You don’t get clean sheets with Binks and Dasilva.
