Excellent. Got you trawling back through old threads again. Now that is silly. Keep on with the selective memory re Dasilva. For the record I haven’t said he was poor. Just that he had nothing to do.

Don’t know if you saw the game or not. They were in behind him multiple times. Did nothing with it so it didn’t impact us. Sheaf for Torp. Not particularly controversial even though it was talking about one instance for a particular game.

They had a winger? Let’s be honest Brum were dire going forward. Dasilva had no defending to do.

Both CH’s benefitting by not trying to play in ridiculously risky situations. They are helped a lot in that by Grimes and also hopefully a coaching steer as well.

Nothing to do with Fatawu. He struggles if we have to defend full stop. Even a totally toothless Brum got in behind him 6-7 times. And as most, including me acknowledge, that was one of his better games.

Grimes knits the whole team together. He’s the one player we’d struggle without.

You have to factor in what they’re working with. It’s not mega bucks in today’s market. Yet we’ve got a top 6 championship squad.

Newsflash. Dasilva and Van Ewijk have good games when there is zero defending to be done. Also, a clean sheet, when our back 4 get pragmatic and just clear the ball. Also created chances and a goal by going long. Playing out from the back can work. Going long can work. Play what’s in front of you.

Difficult one as second half was a half paced training exercise. I’d have gone Eccles just because it was his first game back in.

Eccles is a top notch championship player. Has been for a long while.

Solid display. All did well. I’ve really liked the work rate last two games. Squad depth being tested a bit but standing up.

EMC does seem to be injured a lot. It’s as if he’s almost over conditioned. There are loads more injuries in the game nowadays and yet facilities are far better. There are obviously some very talented salesmen around when it comes to things like ice baths and cryo-chambers. It’s all nonsense.

You don’t need stats to evidence the differences. 1) We’re scoring more goals 2) We’re playing better attacking football. 3) Player morale is obviously up. 4) The back room staff are better. 5) We’re higher in the league. Defensively and from set pieces I’d say we’re static.

Agree with that. Now is the time to get Brau in. If Dasilva was knocking it out of the park I’d get it. But he isn’t.

Asante had a big game. EMC doesn’t do that level of work. I liked what I saw in terms of determination and work rate. Shows we’ve got the other side to our game.

Solid performance. Thought Saka was quiet and Dasilva struggled a bit but generally good all round

I seem to remember similar comments early on about Dovin. Just give him time to settle.

Don’t fancy us to concede less than 2. We’ll probably create enough chances to score 3 but can we convert them. I’d be having a serious look at both full backs for this one.
