    Judging the Frank Lampard change

Think it was just a cycle that had come to an end. As much as anything else things have just been freshened up. The back room staff are definitely better. There were certainly some odd appointments post Viveash.

You tell me. You know a top notch full back when you see one.

At 12.37 and 35 seconds the ball is turned over via a legal challenge approximately 39 yards from the opposition goal. The wind is light and drifting in on a slight south westerly. The home crowd, still rattled by a corner delivered by the opponent approximately two millimetres outside the...

Agreed. Saka is exceptional at Champ level. Delivery is always dangerous and nearly always has his full back on toast.

Anyway, JDS is the love child of Pearce and Maldini. Let’s leave it there.

Crikey. Hard work here. Pro doc demanded i name the 7 instances they got in behind. I declined, not wanting to waste inordinate amounts of time. Therefore he has assumed I can’t name them.

Wrong end of the stick pal.

No problem with the 6-7 times they got in behind. Pro doc invents narratives as he goes along. For example, someone saying they can’t be arsed to timestamp and relay instances from the game apparently translates to couldnt back up claims.

    Not quite true is it.

No agenda at all. My opinion is he is very poor defensively. Nothing more, nothing less. Hope he proves me completely wrong.

I’ve said he had a good game. I just qualified it by saying we were playing against a team who were as inept going forward as you are likely to see. Second half we could have put bibs on them and called it a training game.

So he’s good positionally then? And you think I don’t know what I’m talking about.

    Man of the match

One of the most advantageous effects he has is that he stops the CH’s having to play so many passes. Our ball retention has improved just due to that.

The forces of common sense winning the battle with a flanking manoeuvre that got them in behind their opposition 😀

Difficult one in midfield now. Do you let Andrews have a bit of game time or try and replace Sheaf. I can see us just targeting a bit of depth in Saka’s position and that being it. We don’t need a lot else.

Yeah, some very selective memories off the back of a good 3-0 win. JDS had his best game for us - accepted. But have a look at how many times he’s tracking back after a very simple ball is played in behind him. Positionally he has no idea.

I’m afraid you’ll be waiting a long time. I was at the game, I saw what I saw. I’m not going to recount individual plays just because you’ve said i should.

He’s had one decent game against the most toothless opposition your ever likely to play. I hope he carries on and becomes the second incarnation of Maldini. I’d be delighted. We’ll see

Exactly my point. We have a defender who is fine as long as he doesn’t need to defend.
