Exactly, if Kitching had attempted a clearance it would have hit Collins, if he had managed to head it, it would have gone past Collins and been an easy finish for a Burnley forward. Kitching had virtually no chance of clearing that. By contrast Collins had a chance to put in row Z.
This week's games will be interesting.
Realistically if we are expecting top 6 we have to beat Portsmouth.
Bristol V WBA, a draw probably the best result for us but a Bristol win more or less puts West Brom out of it bar an unlikely massive turn around in their form. Bristol still have...
One of the things that will definitely help is not getting on his back the moment he concedes a goal he should have saved.
Edit, not aimed at you or anyone in particular BTW.
I can't see 68 being enough, especially with our GD, with 3 teams now within 2 points of us I think 70 minimum.
Providing we beat Portsmouth & Plymouth at home we should be ok, needing about 5 points from the other 5 games.
Maybe don't spend too much time worrying about it at least until after we play WBA. We will most probably have a clearer picture by then one way or the other.
There are 2 places up for grabs. And we have an excellent record against Middleboro.
IF we can get 5th, and IF we can beat Sunderland (big ifs) it doesn't mean we will face the one of the top 3 that doesn't get autos, whoever finishes 6th could beat them.
