I know what you mean but looking at our 58 goals conceded, With Dovin in goal 28 games 30 goals conceded 1.09 goals per game With Collins in goal 15 games 23 goals conceded 1.62 goals per game With Wilson in goal 3 games 5 goals conceded 1.67 goals per game I know this is a bit simplistic but...

    Outcomes required for Playoffs

That's been said about Middlesboro for the last 2 games.

Lets look on the bright side

As far as we know we didn't get any fresh injuries today, and should have a couple returning next week. I'm wondering if we will appeal the sending off as it was never a red IMO, what contact there was appeared to be accidental.

    1 game to go

I think you could be right. It does take some of the pressure off knowing we should be ok to draw. There's Bristol as well if they lose heavily on Monday. It isn't technically in our hands now but only Millwall could catch us if we win and they would need to beat Burnley by 5 plus whatever we...

    Championship thread 24/25!

All 3 contenders are away next week, only we are at home Blakburn play Sheff U Millwall play Burnley. We shouldn't underestimate how important a home win is last game of the season even if there is nothing to play for.

    Brad Collins

Games don't have to be even to get a result. We would surely have got a draw until Collins flattened Kiching (who had things under control) and then left an open goal.

    2 games to go

Yes, I really think we have a better chance with Wilson in goal. Obviously not seen him play for a while but I just think he won't be under anywhere near the pressure Collins will be under, and on his typical form he is good enough.

    2 games to go

Nothing would surprise me about this weekend results, that's why I'm not too worried. It's as likely we beat Luton and Middlesboro lose to Norwich as the other way round.

Match Thread Luton Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 26th Apr

I've said this before but Burnley are at home in front of their fans and will not want to put a damper on their promotion celebrations by putting in an abject performance. I guess even if they played their squad players they will have enough to beat Millwall.

Wright has a MPG of 147 according to the stats, the best in the championship.

    2 games to go

It's possible Millwall could crash the party but we have +6 GD, other metrics are in our favour including games won and goals scored, so effectively +7, and if we beat Boro, that gets added to. Millwall play Burnley last game, and though they might win, I can't see them scoring lots of goals

    2 games to go

Ok , I've looked. We are on 66 points, Boro are on 63 with a better GD. We lose next week, Boro win so we are both on 66 but boro have a better GD so they are 6th we are 7th. We beat them, which you are confident about and suddenly we are on 69 and Boro are on 66. Millwall are the only team near...

"Confidence players" worry me. We need players who are not affected by how they played the previous week.

Match Thread Plymouth Argyle - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 21st Apr

Yes, you can lose with 90% possession, with the opposition keeper having a blinder, absolutely no luck if front of goal, with the ref giving absolutely nothing, but everything to the opposition. The next time could be a completely different outcome.

Match Thread Plymouth Argyle - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 21st Apr

People forget that Leeds' last home game is Bristol. Surely they will want to put in a good performance and win in front of their home crowd on the last game and celebrate promotion with a win.

Match Thread Plymouth Argyle - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 21st Apr

Bristol don't have a good away record, having only won 4. It doesn't mean much this late in the season but I would prefer our position to theirs. Luton have taken 9 points from the last 6 games and could be out of the bottom 3 with a win tomorrow. Derby have a tough game away to WBA who will...
