A vote of no confidence in the City of Coventry?

You may have noticed, I didn't say good, NW. :) I just don't think it will be bad news all round. I think CCFC will remain here, just with a different landlord. Business as usual. Will be very surprised if there is any really good news for us in all this, but I just don't believe we will all be...

A vote of no confidence in the City of Coventry?

I am keeping myself positive. It's the council's duty to act in the interest of this city and its citizens. As long as they abide by that creed it will not be as bad as some are making out for sure. My guess would be that CCFC get some assurance that they will be entitled to stay and play at...

Mick Quinn: Deal with WASPS includes deal for CCFC to remain at Ricoh

They would be. That's why I think that although they may intend to make this their home, they will have to water down their intentions, cos the fans simply will not show. I think they may well have to resort to only playing some games here, otherwise they will end up with just a handful of...

A vote of no confidence in the City of Coventry?

Well, that's where we differ Michael, cos every bone in my body tells me that no way would Coventry City Council make a decision that was bad for Coventry City and bad Coventry Rugby Club and bad for the city and citizens of Coventry. That would be incompetence on a previously unheard of level...

Councillors will decide on Wasps takeover tonight

I know. I just slapped my face with a Frankfurter as a punishment. Was bad that.

    New stadium - Let's suppose for a minute ....

Think 10 miles would do it for me too. Just wouldn't feel like my club anymore. Think if it were 4-5 miles away I could deal with that, but 10 and over, you are then talking much close to another town than to Coventry.

Thought Joy was more of a Lambourghini type of girl rather than having a Ferraro.

    New stadium - Let's suppose for a minute ....

Well at least it's got the Sixfields Hill with a good clear unrestricted view.

    New stadium - Let's suppose for a minute ....

So where are we? No new stadium and Sisu refuse to remain as tenants? If the Ricoh deal is approved then surely Sisu have absolutely nowhere to go. Between a rock and a hard place.

    New stadium - Let's suppose for a minute ....

Forget about whether or not the new stadium idea has previously been pure fantasy for a minute and think about here and now if the Ricoh is sold. Suppose now Sisu believe the only way forwards is a new stadium, because they simply cannot get their hands on the Ricoh. What are the obstacles...

Mick Quinn: Deal with WASPS includes deal for CCFC to remain at Ricoh

Surely access there would be a complete nightmare! Could you imagine thousands of cars heading down there on a Saturday afternoon?

Mick Quinn: Deal with WASPS includes deal for CCFC to remain at Ricoh

A move to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, either permanently or just for one-off games, has been heavily mooted in the press, but the club insist they are still exploring a number of options. This was 3 days ago from the Wycombe press. If this is current news, then I feel tomorrow may just be a...

Mick Quinn: Deal with WASPS includes deal for CCFC to remain at Ricoh

Depends which part of Courtauld's he means. The part of the corner of Foleshill Road has now been developed. There were 2 parts to Courtauld's.

Mick Quinn: Deal with WASPS includes deal for CCFC to remain at Ricoh

Nope. They would turn a blind eye again. God knows what the answer is! If our owners won't bid and are determined to leave then I feel we will further decline. If we stay at the Ricoh on a rent deal there may well be no chance of any sustained future success and we'll just drift along. We...

Mick Quinn: Deal with WASPS includes deal for CCFC to remain at Ricoh

But none of us believe they will build a new stadium, so it either means having to stay at the Ricoh or relinquishing ownership doesn't it? Or back to Sixfields.

Ooh, you'd have the leather elbowed patch brigade down on us like a tonne of bricks!

    Protest Tuesday

Totally agree. That is why I think that if we were to build a much cheaper, much smaller stadium somewhere, a degree of hope will be lost and I think we will lose supporters as a result. It may well seem like cutting our cloth, but then also lowering our targets and we can hardly even say we...
