I would also just add, that people would accept say a 10 year deal here, because the other option as it stands is for CCFC to move out in 4 years time and we all pretty much agree that there will be no new stadium, so we would have to go off and ground share anyway. All this of course is based...

It may well do, NW, it may well do. I'm sure the fact we are now home is guiding people's thoughts too. I think most people will accept any security, however short term that may be. Most fans do not want a new stadium, they want us at the Ricoh. If we got a 10 year deal at the Ricoh people...

Not if you are Spider Ricoh. If you are SR then everything bad for Sisu is good for the club.

But don't Swansea and Ospreys share a stadium, with Swansea being able to play lovely, flowing football? Is their pitch 'ripped up?' It looks like it won't be good news for us, this deal, but what I think he is just saying is it will be business as normal. I don't want Wasps here, but if it...

The goalposts do keep quite slightly moving don't they on this. Also find it odd that Wasps would want to come and play here when nearly all their fans say they won't come and watch. You also have to remember how much further away we are talking here compared to us and Northampton. Seems to...

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

It's what i fear about any new stadium too. The owners may well say 15,000 or 18,000, but when push came to shove I would expect it to be built a lot more cheaply that first mooted (remember Arena 2000 and retractable pich? Roof?) and it to end up a much smaller capacity too.

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

The Butts Arena has a capacity of just 4,000. Looking at the ground there, there is very little scope for expansion. Hotels and flats etc. have been built or are being built as we very speak. Would guess the biggest it could ever be would be 10,000.

And, also, put it this way. Let's say for a moment that the vast Wasps fans wanted this move to the Ricoh. Do we really believe for a second they would care one jot if it meant us being kicked out of our home? I think it's really decent that some on here would be totally against the move even...

As I have said, from the council's perspective, if they believe the deal beneifts all parties then of course they will vote yes. Wasps fans won't even enter their thinking, same as with Northampton with us. I'm sure their chairman at Sixifelds didn't think about City fans for more than a fleeing...

Sorry, should have worded mine better. 'Seen in the eyes of CCC as being best for the city.' They do quite often have a very blinkered approach to these things unfortunately.

Well, as I have said before, we should all write to our local councillors. I have written to my 3, 2 Labour and 1 Conservative. Had replies from the 2 Labour councilors. Nothing from the Tory one.

It is wrong. No doubt about that. Just can't see how it could feasibly be seen as being wrong for CCC though. They have to do the best deal they can for this city. That's business unfortunately and they simply will not have the same sense of moral code that nearly all of us on here have...

Can't see any nails being broken, as it will all be stuck together with Pritt Stick. No nails involved.

It may well be ethically improper for us. I would agree that it is from our perspective. But from the council's perspective? If they believe this is a good deal for the people of Coventry and won't harm CCFC or CRFC then they are obviously going to vote for for it. I am guessing they have got...

    Skyblues Trust-why no action?

And if they did come here, I would urge every rugby loving fan in the city to boycott all their games. I've never been to a rugby game before, though have been tempted on the odd occasion to see Cov play, but I would never, ever go into the ricoh to watch Wasps play any 'home' games for sure.
