What does Wembley mean to you?

I get what you’re saying but based on that, short of winning a major trophy, NOTHING is going to please you. So best stop following CCFC right now. It’s like we haven’t had a holiday in decades, and we can all fantasise about a luxury Caribbean cruise or a month in the Seychelles. But what’s...

    Takeover

Agree with you NW about the effect that a promotion and/or a win at Wembley could have. Any sort of success would surely put some wind in our sails (the first half of last season showed that). It would then be up to whoever is in charge to build on it, rather than letting it all slip away...

    Wembley Protest

Just an observation, don’t shoot the messenger ;) The Telegraph’s petition calling for SISU to put Coventry City up for sale took a week to reach 16,000 signatures, and pretty much hit a ceiling at 20,000. All it took was a minute and a few clicks. The club sold that amount of tickets for...

    The Worst of the Worst

Don't do yourself down Dimi, I thought you were a good keeper for the City, and I'm not surprised that you did well after leaving. Despite that, I used to have a good laugh at the alternative moniker of "Dimi Cantstopalotofshots".

    Protest idea

Some are clearly shunning Wembley, and I can well understand the negative psychology induced by relegation. But consider this list of silverware. 1936 Division Three South Champions 1964 Division Three Champions 1967 Division Two Champions 1987 F.A. Cup Winners My observation from the above...

    Ratings

Can’t give my ratings because I wasn’t there today, I can only get to a very limited amount of matches these days. This season my enviable record is P6 W3 D3 L0, we should have won two of the draws, and I haven’t seen any performances to merit the rank bad scores posted on this thread. Based...

    Buying Wembley Tickets online question

From the key to that diagram, it seems the only thing that’s “available” is the pitch. Maybe it’s going to be like the Wolves game in ’67?

    Buying Wembley Tickets online question

As far as I’m aware, Cat 3 and 4 pretty much disappeared in the feeding frenzy on Monday when approx. 3600 season ticket holders snapped up the whole of the lower & middle tiers. If I understand it correctly, they are releasing the upper tier block by block, and each block contains cats 5 & 6...

88 I seriously hope you are right about it reaching general sale. No argument, I will be delighted because it would mean nobody who has attended this season will miss out. That's what we'd all like I'm sure, it just seems unlikely to me.

As Irish and others have said, that was a brilliant night in Liverpool. One of my top half dozen Sky Blue memories I think.

Yes, it’s a cup competition and we’ve fought our way to the final with some good performances. Got to milk it for all it’s worth and forget about the other stuff at least for the day. Someone on here once described winning the cup in 1987 as a fluke! Could not be further from the truth, that...

Er no, my exact words were "every year, any team that has a good season has a fair chance of getting to Wembley". And it's true. But you're right, the club doesn't need to find ways of rewarding loyalty. We're doing just fine with an ever-increasing fan base and an excellent system of...

I found a way to unlike your prevous post :) Surely you've been to plenty of games this season??* * Edit: I forgot, that doesn't count for anything. And they deflated your semi if I can put it that way.

Er, I didn't say that. I said that every year, any team that has a good season has a fair chance of getting to Wembley. We've even managed to do it despite having our customary shit season.

I agree, the new priorities aren't confusing. And nor were the original (different) ones.

Must admit I assumed it was irony at first, but then it seemed to get taken at face value. Falls into the hilarious wind-up category then?

You do know that we are just about the only team NOT to have been to Wembley in the last 30 years, and that every season there are realistic Wembley places up for grabs in all the Divisions? It doesn't take a fluke, just a good season. The fact we don't tend do those is irrelevant.

I know I’m on here trying to argue a case for regular fans who are in danger of losing out. But you can’t be serious that it includes you?
