Not sure that helps much, Astute. We only won one of those 7 games and weren't people saying we would beat Barnsley and Port Vale? :D

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Didn't see that thread, Nick. If I had I would have used that. Can you maybe move this thread and merge it with the pitch condition one?

We keep drawing though and not winning and we will almost certainly go down.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

I see we have gone doe the 'Wasps route' again . The post is only about the state of the pitch and how that impinges upon COVENTRY CITY. Surely there's enough Wasps debate on the Wasps sub forum isn't there? All I am interested in is how bad the pitch is going to be for tomorrow night.

It;s not a great leveller though if you are a team that pass the ball on the ground to feet and your opposition plays long balls forward to great big strikers. And that's exactly how Bradford play. Tuesday's pitch is going to suit Hanson and not suit Nouble or Samuel or Tudgay.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Well, true, but if we can now only play the ball to feet on the ground, the pitch is very much going to not be of any advantage to us. Think many of the League One teams are more direct and have target men. We don't have any forward who can really win the ball in the air.

    Setting us up to fail

I think the key here isn't in selling our best players, but in when we sell them. We shouldn't sell any player who has value to the team until we have an adequate replacement lined up.

Okay, well follow up question therefore is, could the state of the Ricoh pitch contribute to us being relegated, or would that just be an excuse? Just thinking that if we haven't got the type of player to play on a heavy, boggy pitch, does that put us at a further disadvantage at home? Or as I...

At the moment I think we are playing Pythonesque football.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Definitely advantage Bradford pre-game I would have thought. Going to be more suitable for a long ball type of game, so I think we will need to change the way we play on Tuesday. I can see the ball bobbling and sticking in the middle of the park. Hopefully the wings won't be so cut up.

A massive amount I would say.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

My daughter's best friend's dad. He's a massive Cov Rugby fan, but he went to Wasps today. Anyway, let's not get off subject here. How badly do we think this will affect us on Tuesday? Certainly not conducive to good football on the deck I would have thought. Think we are going to have to...

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

And before anyone moans, this does belong on the Coventry City page, because all I want to know is the state of the pitch after today's game for our info and how messed up it will be for the City on Tuesday.

    Bradford crowd

I don't think it will be 14,000. Hope I'm wrong but I am thinking just over 11,000 tops.
