Sorry, should have worded mine better. 'Seen in the eyes of CCC as being best for the city.' They do quite often have a very blinkered approach to these things unfortunately.

Well, as I have said before, we should all write to our local councillors. I have written to my 3, 2 Labour and 1 Conservative. Had replies from the 2 Labour councilors. Nothing from the Tory one.

It is wrong. No doubt about that. Just can't see how it could feasibly be seen as being wrong for CCC though. They have to do the best deal they can for this city. That's business unfortunately and they simply will not have the same sense of moral code that nearly all of us on here have...

Can't see any nails being broken, as it will all be stuck together with Pritt Stick. No nails involved.

It may well be ethically improper for us. I would agree that it is from our perspective. But from the council's perspective? If they believe this is a good deal for the people of Coventry and won't harm CCFC or CRFC then they are obviously going to vote for for it. I am guessing they have got...

    Skyblues Trust-why no action?

And if they did come here, I would urge every rugby loving fan in the city to boycott all their games. I've never been to a rugby game before, though have been tempted on the odd occasion to see Cov play, but I would never, ever go into the ricoh to watch Wasps play any 'home' games for sure.

    Skyblues Trust-why no action?

Yes, agree, NW. I simply do not want Wasps here. But for the SBT they are the SBT, the Sky Blue Trust. It would be totally wrong of them to put the Wasps interests before our own. That has to be secondary to their thinking. For what its worth, I myself just cannot see Wasps coming in and CCFC...

    Skyblues Trust-why no action?

They don't believe that though and I'm not sure sure it is either. I can't see how this can be good news for CCFC, but with so many rumours flying around and talk of Ranson's grubby hands all over it, who's to say this deal doesn't include CCFC somehow.

Conor Thomas must be dropped from SP's starting 11

Surely it's pointless having this same debate all over again ad nauseum. Some people think he's doing okay, some people think he is dogshit. Can't see the point of continually arguing the point, when obviously some people's views are so entrenched they are never going to change their minds...

    Skyblues Trust-why no action?

Yes, true. The word I got back from the SBT was one of obviously doing the best thing for Coventry City as their priority. If Ranson was to be somehow involved with a takeover I'm sure it will be a case of out of the frying pan into the fire.

    Skyblues Trust-why no action?

Well, yes Nick. That is why I think we should all write to our councillors urging them to act in our best interests, as citizens of Coventry. But as the SBT, what else can they do? What if this deal concluded in a takeover of CCFC? Pretty much everyone has said they want Sisu out. The Trust...

    Skyblues Trust-why no action?

There's a meeting tomorrow night in the Squirrel. Waggott will be there too. Not sure what the SBT can do at the moment, Fergie. Had a chat with them yesterday before the game and it's still all a bit of a muddle. Let's look at what we know or have heard ... Consortium putting bid in...

    Ratings vs Crawley

He does fade as games wear on, that's for sure. For anyone to say he can't pass, well .... oh, what's the point. If someone's got a jaundiced view to that degree then there's no point arguing, because I don't think you will ever convince them otherwise. Maybe they were in the bog when Thomas...

CCFC should buy Cov Rugby Club

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. How on earth can it be developed much further? You been round there lately? It's already been redeveloped heavily around the ground. Can't see much scope for much expansion at all.

RFU Will Rubber Stamp Wasps Move According To The Times

If rugby fans are like the players, they will be great big, enormous fat fookers and therefore 6,374 supporters will equate to 12,748 seats. Plus people always look wider in stripes.

    Ratings vs Crawley

Only just seen the goals again this morning. As it was just a case of big punts up the field it was hard to identify who was at fault for the goals, but you are right about Willis. He should have made that header for that first goal. Second goal looks like a collective mess.

Big concern was that although we had 19 shots, only 3 of them were on target.
