    The Ashes

If the pitch continues to slow, then a draw looks bang on the money.

    The Ashes

It is pathetically childish, it has to be said. Nice sight to see for all the young kids wanting to follow cricket and looking up to their idols, when they behave with petulance like this. Still much better than football though for sure.

    The Ashes

Not so sure. they did really well in the end, but if quick wickets come tomorrow they will be well short of 400. Really think we need to reach 400, or as close as possible to it, to make a real game of this. Still balanced precariously, but we finished on a high for sure.

Hope you're happy, Torchy, Grenduffy, etc

If Sisu do win the case, then yes, we should all be very annoyed with the council for sure. Will there be an appeal to the appeal though?

    The Ashes

Yep. One wicket though and it could all go very pear shaped. England wickets quite often come in little clusters and they can easily lose 3 wickets for 1 or 2 runs. Need these two to get close to 250 or over and then there will be scope for everyone else coming in to play with a bit more...

Cook played his way through his bad spell tough didn't he. Sometimes it's the best way. Bit of luck, one good score and you're flying again.

I do like the look of Buttler too, mind. He needs to come of age consistently in test match cricket though, having proved himself in one day matches. His batting average in test matches is still very good and at times he looks pure class. I think he is capable of being a regular top scorer in...

    The Ashes

Yes I agree. These conditions at the moment though are more conducive for bowling. There's definitely a bit in the pitch here at the moment. 1 more down before we reach a 100 and it's looking unlikely we'll get past 250. Really needs a top class innings from someone. Hopefully Root will...

    The Ashes

Indeed not. It does not bode well. Root should have been out too and we should be 4 down by now. With 50 not even on the board that is not at all good.

    The Ashes

Even though as Botham has just said, there's swing there for both bowlers and we're 43-3?

    The Ashes

Was going to post exactly the same thing. Be a rarity for a Welshman or woman to cheer for England at anything. Still seems very odd to me to play England home games in a different country.

    The Ashes

Thought we might have bowled first. Overcast and if there's going to be any movement it will probably be early on. Conditions set to improve later, but Clarke too said he would bat first as well. We desperately need a good start.
