    Is Venus escaping criticism

Sadly there are a few good people at the club that are doing multiple jobs when they were only taken on to do one. Our down turn started about 8 months before he joined the board.

    Chesterfield Home (8th Oct) Postponed

It's either above U17 or U18 that can cause a postponement, can't remember which one. It was all down to them being youth loans. As it's the same day as the Malta game I was going to miss it. Unfortunately I can go now!

So, who's next for the England manager's job now that Sam has gone?

Imo he has to be English. The FA couldn't appoint a foreigner after what they've said about SGP anyway. Steve Bruce or Alan Pardew are the two names most seem to be suggesting. Those two are probably the best of a bad bunch. Eddie Howe is another possibility but I don't think he's quite ready. I...

    Allardyce

Ah ok fair enough thought you were referring to him not going anywhere for money. He's one of, if not the highest paid manager in the world. Can't disagree. Biggest scandal he's been involved in is the inability to do up the zip on his jacket.

    Allardyce

    Why Wenger?

    Allardyce

Or Star City. Anywhere in the Midlands would be better than where it is atm.

    SCG Meeting Minutes

Dale Haywood and I are the two youngest there. I'm 28 and I think he's a couple of years younger. I do think we need someone younger on there. Can't be there myself as I'll be on the way back from Slovenia but I'll get it brought up at the next meeting.

    On this day in 2007

Still the highest ever away crowd at Old Trafford isn't it?

Who actually owns our football club ?

Him, his wife Tessa, Joy and Bill Florence III have pretty much been involved with every company each of the other 3 have. Mostly it involves Tessa and Bill starting a company and then retiring from the board of directors the day Dermot and Joy take over. This is spot on. It's a very simple 1...

Who actually owns our football club ?

Brody definitely owned a small percentage of SBS&L and I haven't seen any evidence that he's sold his stake. The rest is anyone's guess. However it's worth noting is that up until a couple of years ago all official statements used the word 'owners'. Since it's just been 'owner'. That could refer...

Well I don't think anyone expected to hear that news!

    Gaelic football final

An All Ireland final is on my bucket list. Admire the way how they go about things. The Premier League and Football League could learn a hell of a lot from the GAA.

    Low lights from yesterday

RCC has come under some scrutiny but name the keepers in the league that are better. There isn't many. Even if there was 15, the players in front of him are still doing him a disservice. Our keeper is the last thing we should be worrying about.

Match Thread Coventry v Oldham Match Thread - Saturday 17th Sep

This is arguably the easiest game so far. We've got to get a win in the end. No matter how bad a team is it's statistically impossible for them not to get one eventually! Said this for the last 5 games though! Not going to this one myself. Thought flying out to Cancun for two weeks was a...

    Paralympics

Annoying wasn't it. They changed it over for Eastenders and the national news. Why? The news is simcast on the News Channel and they could've just put Eastenders on BBC2. Either that or have the Olympics on BBC2.

    Marc-Antoine Fortuné

I'd take a Telfer right now. We've already got 11 players that can play up front (well claim they can anyway).

    Paralympics

It was the same sometimes on the BBC last month. They kept changing channels for no reason part way through events and we ended up missing key bits.

    Marc-Antoine Fortuné

His record is very similar to both Sordell and Simeon Jackson in recent years. Their goal tallies were in double figures for a season or so followed by several seasons of nothing. That says it all.

    Marc-Antoine Fortuné

He scored an easy chance from a few yards out. Didn't do much else. He played better at Blackpool and still wasn't great in that game.

    Reuben reid

I really hope it isn't. Despite what I wrote on another thread I'd rather have Fortune back.
