Forgive me if I'm wrong, but SISU is a hedge fund and/ or a private equity fund with a portfolio of companies. Otium ( CCFC ) has been particularly unsuccessful and has swallowed a lot of investor's money. It has created negative publicity for SISU Capital at a national level and annoyed the...

If their, SISU's, ( apparently ) non-existent business plan didn't include anything for the benefit of Coventry, then maybe Higgs couldn't justify a reduced price for the share. Perhaps Wasps have put forward a better case to Higgs ( and not sued them ).

were SISU interested in regenerating a part of Coventry through the share, or regenerating their investors investment?

Was it not Grendel who said the ACL talks with a possible sports tenant were equivalent to SISU's Stadium plans? If that is right, we're off on a bus ride to the country in the future to see CCFC.

i didn't say we ( CCFC ) are getting nowhere at the Ricoh. I have said often enough we should be at the Ricoh. I think Wasps is a different case to CCFC. Simple really. We have a perfectly good sports stadium with enough seats for PL should we ever get there. We should be working on staying at...

In the world we live in, a League 1 club cannot afford the Ricoh. We use it at most 25-26 Times a year. We need a second team playing there. If SISU had gone for a long-term lease and then got Wasps in as a tenant, I would be in favour of it. It would be well done SISU.

They decided to move because they getting nowhere there and the Ricoh offered a better chance to achieve sporting success. You don't like it. Fair enough. We have a ground we are renting, but where we should belong. Built for us and for many years with an option to buy back into the management...

good, then you know I said we should have bid for the Ricoh as Wasps have proved can be done. We don't/ didn't need to move anywhere. Different scenario to wasps.

I have an issue when it is CCFC, especially when it is not ambition, but an attempt to get back the investment from Cayman Isles investors that is driving the move.

thats taking it a bit far..... It is possible to bid for the Ricoh in our own city, show ambition and get Jaguar as a sponsor - wasps just did it. when are we going to do something like that?
  13. M

    More Court Action

No. The reason being that, far from showing ambition, the P.i.T.S. stadium would be a step backwards and far from owning our own ground, we would be renting a ground from a SISU company in another town. We won't be getting any revenue from it - apart maybe from the few pies that will be sold...

I am not bothered about the hypocrisy of the council, but rather if they are doing the right thing now. I don't know if Wasps are bad for moving the club - time will tell. Comparing us to them is like comparing an apple to a pear. SISU are our owners and carry the responsibility for the future...

Amazing really. Wasps come along, do due diligence, research, spend time discussing things. No court cases, no threats, no lawyers, friendly tone regarding CCFC and CRFC and put in a bid, show ambition, gain sponsors and get on with the council. Naming rights up for renewal, station being built...

come off it Grendel. SISU are still talking about the P.iT.S. Stadium and going ahead with the JR on the pretext that the judge got it wrong "in fact and in law". I think that is treating the supporters with contempt - especially after returning to the Ricoh and building up false hopes - only to...

Which begs the question... How come SISU didn't see it like that? Freehold or nothing, was Joy's stance.
  19. M

    Ann Lucas Comments

Yes, as, but they can't mortgage the freehold or rip it down for another project. There will be safeguards written into the lease to cover the future use of the facilities. Which is why CCC don't do freeholds.

WASPS press conference from the Ricoh at 10am

Yes right. Poor city too. Owners played their games - and continue to so. Claimed to have moved on and when CCC moves on, they write an open letter moaning about not being consulted. What tossers. They consulted the fans about Northampton, and then moved anyway. Also bollocks. Things will have...
