That's what I mean. Would going up, then back down be better for the club than staying in L1, or worse? You did post on the other thread about turnover etc, but the link is missing for losses. But I agree, we'd have to spend to stay in the championship.

Well if we got promoted (that will cost money), then sign players on championship wages, then get relegated and still have to pay these contracts/ pay them off, surely we would be in a worse financial position that we are at the minute?

Yes, much more. TV rights, higher attedances etc. But in theory, the costs go up too :( I can't believe though, if we are sensible with our wage budget and consolidated/mid table in Championship, we couldn't be in a better position. Maybe @oldskyblue58 can answer this better?
