CET: Man Utd defender could come in, Richard Wood could go

and the rest ! It's difficult to comment without seeing some of the new lads in action but the club have been pretty shrewd in the transfer market this summer, more players in, possibly a stronger squad than last year, but also cash in and wage bill down. Man utd were obviously happy with...

    Keogh bid accepted

For the first time in a long time we appear to be getting decent value for our players. If the rumours are true a very good deal by the club with one year left on his contract. Not good having your best player leave but a very good deal under the circumstances

Keogh, I just don't get it...

Whilst I don't agree with how sisu have handled the running of the club since becoming owners I'm not sure what fans expect ?! We are losing money and they won't keep chucking more in, most clubs in the league are selling clubs, keoghs got a year left on his contract(and not signing a new one)...

Nick Grimshaw to Replace Moyles on BBC1 Breakfast

Grimshaw is annoying but anything has to be better than Moyles. they wheel out the same crap that theyve done for years. Not enough music, hopefully grimshaw will change this. usually talksport during the day for me but when you flick it over during the adds you dont want to listen to a DJ...

So Thorn says he wants to bring in a couple of strikers

Agreed, its obvious they need a big man, so thats one of the two.

Thorn: Inevitable Keogh will leave, we want 2 strikers,Edjenguele still on cards

People are realistic, we're in League 1 (Keoghs too good for that), we have no money, he's got one year left on his current deal, he's not going to sign a new contract, clubs are hopefully offering a decent amoutn for him Sad but a no brainer

Put April 2013 in your diaries...the date Portsmouth file for Administration (again)

    haye v chisora

Haye being at the press conference in Munich mightve been a publicity stunt but the fight/brawl after wasnt. Im pretty sure they were both told if there was anything but a good response between them at the end of the fight it would continue to damage the sport and their own reputations...

When was the last time there was a buzz about the place like this?

Theres some miserable f*ckers on here who will never be happy. The signings may not have cost much (if anything) but Thorns not got a bad record of spotting players so fingers crossed. Remember they dont have to be players to challenge in the Championship but League 1. So until we see them (and...

    Thorn & Waggot

To be fair, theyve obviously freed up more than we thought on wages ie freddie, mcpake and cranie's (I wouldnt be surprised if this is £15k-£20k per week) Nice to see some new faces in ps probably means Keogh will be off as well though !

    Fisher "more players are needed"

I agree with your concerns about the running of the club but two things. I dont believe SISU are a rich hedgefund (I really believe they lack the substantial wealth to continue to cover the losses of the club). Also, the argument about selling players to cover the day bills is the reality for a...

    Undisclosed...

Let's hope the club have given him a deal which is heavily weighted on appearances. If so and he keeps fit it could be an inspired signing

    David Bell

400k. Not sure if this is up front or on the drip but more than we can afford. Shame as he's a quality player
  14. C

    David Bell

Norwood cost a few hundred grand and bigi generated a few hundred grand so don't think bell and baker being retained affected the situation of those two players at all. I'd also like to think bell and baker (if fit) should be very good in this league but let's wait and see.

    sisu

Fact is a majority of any monies realised for players will most probably have to go to cover losses (hardly asset stripping) I do question what SISU take out in management fees etc but pretty sure we'd be substantially loss making even if you exclude those costs

    £1 million for Bigi

That just a ridiculous comment without seeing someone play at least a few times (let alone on a regular basis). Bigi could well become a very good player, so could Fleck. Lets wait and see

    £1 million for Bigi

Its hardly 2 faced, just realism. Fleck, Kilbane and Elliott are investments in the club. We are losing £'000's a month and theres no white knight on the horizon so what do people expect ?! Its always painful seeing a young player leave for pastures new but its no different to Sturridge...

    Bigi off to Newcastle

Knowing our history of bad management he'll be loaned out all right, probably to one of our league one rivals !!!! (ala Davenport) We've always been a selling club and a poor one at that. If they can get a decent price for him, then Id accept the sale, wish him luck and move on. Unfortunately...

Deal agreed with rangers for John Fleck

Agree, you cant knock the approach. The club wouldve taken legal advice and if theres uncertainty its sensible to reach an agreement. What happens if its found further down the line that that Fleck did transfer over to the NewCo, which in my view would happen with any ordinary employee...

Deal agreed with rangers for John Fleck

Also probably implies that someone will be sold soon (to cover any such fee !!!)
