    The new manager.

Maybe after a hammering/losing run but after an unbeaten start to the season ?! I doubt many people wouldve come on here and announced that It turned out to be true so have to give him the benefit of the doubt

    Chris Hussey

Its probably the same as most dressing rooms, some wouldve liked him, some not. Im not sure "great manager" is the most accurate description in the world ! He did always come across as honest, hard working and a decent bloke

    The new manager.

Putting two and two together, the Southgate rumour may be a possibility as he recently left his post with the FA so is available. Might not be a bad shout; bright bloke, highly respected, probably a little more tactically aware than Thorny !!!!

    Cunning SISU?!

Interesting theory but I dont think its true. Im sure everyone at the club hoped we'd get off to a flyer this season. Theres probably more to this than meets the eye though. None of us know what goes on behind the scenes, but if the rumours about issues with players are true, coupled with our...

Coventry v Sheffield UTD matchday thread.

Forget scoring plenty of goals tonight, I'd take a one nil off one of the promotion faves any day

    Olympic 2012 closing ceremony

Id never heard it before, but if thats the inspiration behind the song then fair enough. I personally woulve preferred something else (and his gyrating was a little disturbing) Appreciate it was probably logistically tricky to move that many people but Im sure the musical director or his...

    Olympic 2012 closing ceremony

I agree Otis, people cant really complain about the cross section of artists they covered, however....I would say two things though, George Michaels second song (and his dancing) what was all that about ?! Also, when they just repeated the live songs when the athletes were walking out was...

    Hate the Olympics thread!

I have to say I have never been as consistantly excited and proud by a sporting event as with this Olympics. Absolute quality in whole variety of sports, so many memorable performances. Another gold with Joshua. The whole country should be proud both of the organisation and delivery of the...

Des Lynam: 'BBC should stick to male Olympics commentators'

Agreed. Logan has been the best anchor I reckon. Johnsons quality and amusing

    South Korea

Just think paying a fair few quid to watch over 2 hours of durge then after the game finding out you've missed the best ever night of British athletics ! Gutted !

    South Korea

Haha, fair point. U know what im saying tho. But at home, grinding out a sorry 120 min draw against Korea ?!

    Hate the Olympics thread!

Only boring bit was the football (glad I've only watched a few mins). The real professional sportsmen and women have done the country proud. People who dedicate their lives to the sport not for 40, 50, 60k a week but to be the best they can be. A very proud day to be British !

    South Korea

As soon as Pearce was named manager it wasn't being taken seriously. Boring and one demsional. one man up front from what I heard...against bloody Korea ! Hopefully that will keep him away from the national side. Legend as a player but found wanting as manager

    olympic opening ceremony

Imaginative, thoughtful, innovative, quirky, amusing...overall quality Made you proud to be British. Ps apart from the French speaker going first, what's all that about ?! If it's for the president it's a joke.

Thoughts on the state of British society?

Well that and bread and dripping for lunch. Seriously though, they find that in hospitals the meals they provide are sometimes deficient in the necessary vitamins and minerals (this when people are desperate for all the help needed to recover) yet we still probably fork out the same amount for...

Thoughts on the state of British society?

I agree with the comments saying the country isnt the same. There have been a huge number of improvements to our life and society over the years but there are also a number of inexcusable/unexplanable areas of disappointment Firstly, nobody can say that the pretty much uncontrolled increase in...

    Sydney Fc view of Cazarine

Considering a fair few on here slag players off as soon as they leave us some of the comments on the SFCU site are pretty reasonable Lets wait and see

    How's the wage bill then?

Exactly, Craine, Clingan and Eastwood alone would be around £20k per week. If they offload Wood as well...... Thats not forgetting the cash coming in from the sales. Agree with the earlier comment about Kilbane and Fleck probably picking up the most out of the summer signings, the rest should...
