The Butts - CRFC Confirms it is willing to join mediation talks

I want us to play there, but think that it isn't feasible - unless large amounts of money are involved. To gain more space they either go downwards or they build across the road to the fob watch. Facilities, hotels, car parks above road level. Create space.

Which, tbf, is what councils are supposed to do. Regeneration and job creation is part of their remit.

The Butts - CRFC Confirms it is willing to join mediation talks

I think that as a group on here we are now pretty well qualified in several subjects. The next time City have a position to offer - e.g. as Technical Director to replace Venus - they should offer it first on here.

The Butts - CRFC Confirms it is willing to join mediation talks

What will happen is that CRFC will build/ modify their stadium to fit their future plans. We may or may not be involved. Once again we will be beholden to a Rugby Club. Unless, of course, we buy the head lease of John Sharpe and have any restrictions/ easements removed. We are a long way from...

    Mediation talks underway

What speaks volumes is that Wasps have a business plan and actually put it into action whilst not upsetting everyone else in the process. CCFC don't have a business plan. Or do you call announcing stadium plans within 3 weeks a plan?

    That's true.

    Mediation talks underway

Surely it must meet their approval if they can avoid any legal or other disputes Why does he say that? How would he know? Or why say that legal costs can be avoided if CCFC are going for the Butts? It is supposed to be SISU and not CCFC JR2. Joy's thing rather than Tim's.

    Mediation talks underway

How does preferring the Butts help avoid legal disputes? Are you suggesting the council could influence the Rugby Club, JS into working with SISU after all? With council backing for a bigger stadium - in return for SISU dropping JR2?

    Mediation talks underway

I was in Portsmouth yesterday and noticed on the sign going into the city that, under Portsmouth, it said "Home of Portsmouth FC - winners of the FA Cup 19? ( can't remember the year )And 2008". Obviously they are proud of the club. We have "City of Peace and Reconciliation" - pity it doesn't...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I can only say what I know. Another 4% rise was granted this week ( I forgot who to ). I pay my staff a lot more than 4 years ago. My sales ( retail sales in general) are going up. High domestic demand. The Eurozone GDP rose more than the US in 2016.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Yes, these who are "difficult to place" are often so because of their own attitude.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Are they? People are getting pay rises above inflation- 4 or 5%. There is pressure on wages - in the cities at least. I am paying my staff more. Cannot speak for Holland as I don't know. We have very low unemployment in Germany which means that wages have to go up. There are, though, about 1...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I thought they hadn't considered the effects of a very hard Brexit. If there are less immigrants there will be a reduction of contract in the building industry and the population will stop rising and maybe decline reducing demand for products and services. Inflation has started to kick in a bit...

The mammoth sum Coventry City owners Sisu would need to walk away without loss

Yes, I agree the whole thing was a headline grabber. 101 million... it is this guys take of the 65 million... it is irrelevant anyway. No-one is going to give 65 million for these non voting shares. Joy was called "the queen of debt" at some stage. I would say this is one reason why.

The mammoth sum Coventry City owners Sisu would need to walk away without loss

They converted the 60 m debt into shares after administration. To get that back they need to sell the shares for the same price. It is lost as debt - but if they are to come out not losing any money, then they have to get the shares money back. There was no liquidation.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Which form of democracy would be better for them? Putin's - opposition and press murdered, control of media, distraction by playing mr tough guy in foreign policy. Trump's - feeding the public with fake facts and distracting tweets. Erdogan- lock everyone up and introduce a dictatorship. UK's -...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Really? Superstate or independent... there isn't a superstate and we will never be completely independent so long as we live by trade and are defended as NATO members.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

No-one ever said it was. It's a bit like AFD in Germany. They are not all extreme right, probably not even the majority are, but their movement has attracted a lot of extreme right wing people.
