I don't think Robins would stop working as normal tbh. He obviously thought he was the right man to bring in and pressed ahead regardless of the background stuff.

He was a Robins appointment and Robins' judgement was rightly trusted by all at the time be that Joy or the incoming King who signed him up to a new contract. Not sure why it matters who signed it off tbh.
