Podcast Ep 32 - Cov's accounts discussed with football finance expert Kieran Maguire

Isn't he just another one who's nose has been put out since the club has become more professionally run? Can't imagine his nose is in half as many players anus' as it used to be.

Dawkins is just one of those people eating humble pie over King so he'll try and dig for anything.

Will having Haji Wright back throw us off?

    I mostly agree with that.

    Championship thread 24/25!

We definitely want to get past that point where 1 defeat could see about 3 teams go flying past you. I guess the next 3 games is a reasonable chance for us to do so.

Will having Haji Wright back throw us off?

I support that Wright will probably have more of a part to play than simply a left wing option for Lampard. He'll be tried in other positions i'm sure of it and anyone who thinks we won't at least want to try getting EMC and Wright on the pitch at the same time is frankly stupid. I don't however...

The final table prediction...top 6 or not?

Better gates than teams that were getting higher crowds than us for years. WBA, Norwich, Wednesday etc... its great to see. The club has great potential.

The final table prediction...top 6 or not?

Our poor form against West Brom is largely because, pretty much since we dropped out of the Prem, they've been a better team than us. Started yo-yoing and getting those parachute payments at just the right time. It's no longer the case, we are a better team than WBA, our team is certainly worth...

    Every Haji goal

Those full backs defending the back post aren't going to know whats hit them.

Match Thread Oxford United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 1st Mar

Interestingly it seems they are only 1 point worse off on home form than we are over the season. Shows what a huge job we had our on hands to recover this position.

If we were in their run of form the predictions would consist of a 4-0 drubbing, Lampard for the chop and mass 'bring back Robins' protests to break out, and King to pull out leaving us in huge financial trouble. So yeh, fair play for their optimism i guess.

I was tempted to go wind them up but then you are at risk of falling down a Procdoc type rabbit hole (see also multiple posters on the Sunderland forum.) But again, how stupid do you have to be to type this? How can capacity be restricting them if they fill about 90% of it? Make it make sense...

Never understand this bragging about % of ground full. It's only relevant if you fill it 100%, otherwise the average attendance is all that matters really.

@fernandopartridge is better at all this stuff than me. Is it right that the cringe yanks that Blues fans fap over are not giving interest free loans?

Nice to be looking forward to matches. I find myself getting impatient too which is better than thinking 'oh fuck, not again.'

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Christ, looks rough as fuck. Still fancy my chances of pinching his bird even as i approach 40, have no energy and am, lets say, a touch spongier than i was.

    Every Haji goal

Should score more headers given his build and how powerful he can be in the air, the one against Oxford is the perfect example, dominates the defender and powers it in. I think we can expect to see more of this under Lampard.

Yeh GIMOC is usually here making out we're skint just before we splash the cash, then he disappears again. Usually take it as a good sign, things usually start to take an upward turn just after he's logged back in with the doom and gloom.
