    Football 'Hard Men'

I remember him playing for Oxford. Never thought of him as a hard man but appears he was pretty tough. Mick Harford was another who was hard as nails. A lot of modern 'enforcers' like Robbie Savage and the like wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes in the 70's and 80's.

    Terrorist sympathiser here.......

No it wouldn't have been. And it isn't now in Syria. The west needs to get its intelligence in order and send squads of people to remove the Isis leaders in the same way that our government did with IRA cells in the 80's.

    Terrorist sympathiser here.......

Only way to stop it will be troops on the ground I fear. This would be another protracted and bloody conflict which I doubt anyone would want (maybe Blair I suppose:jerkit:). The other option is to let the SAS loose on any jihadi's that come 'home' like Thatcher did on the IRA in the late 80's...

    League 1 manager situation

If JFH does go too then it could be great for us. We probably wont really see any benefit until January when they return to their clubs to pick up a couple of players that they'll want to take with them. Fingers crossed very tightly.

    Your CCFC Memorabilia

I have a wool city scarf that my uncle bought me when he took me to my first game in 1975 for my 4th birthday. It still makes the odd appearance in the cold weather.

    Ethics Commitee Meeting Tomorrow

Spot on I reckon. I also suspect that something financial might have gone on with the rent agreement as nobody in their right mind would agree to the original terms would they?

    Ethics Commitee Meeting Tomorrow

Which part is not the case? Running costs? marked up utilities? you decide. I've been told by more than one person connected to the club that they were paying way more than they should or could have for the office space, shop etc and the associated bits like electric phones etc. Pretty sure...

    Your CCFC Memorabilia

I have a 'complete history of CCFC' bookfrom 1978 which was signed by Mick Ferguson. I was in hospital on my birthday and my then teacher knew him and got him and Oakey to visit me. I've got my city shirt from 1987 which was a medium then but looks more like an extra small these days:(. I've...

    Ethics Commitee Meeting Tomorrow

It's unfair to say that LR was acting as a PR outlet for Sisuin all of this. The bloke lost his job because he reported what he saw and wouldn't toe the party line with his employers. People who slaughtered him on here, and there were a lot, need to look at themselves and admit that he was...

    Ethics Commitee Meeting Tomorrow

We were paying rent, running costs and massively marked up utility costs under the previous rental agreement at the Ricoh. It was never a case of 'heres £1.2 million and we'll rock up when we like'.

    Best goal you remember.....

It was for me. Couldn't get a ticket in our end so sat in the Doug Ellis stand on my own. And, Yes I did celebrate when it went in!

Shame really as he was the only one I liked on CWR. Always asked questions that needed asking.

Whether they say it or not, Its obvious that the council were 'balls deep' with the telegraph and Webber Shandwick.

Well, they might just be our rivals again next season

I was trying to explain this to my 15 yr old son and a couple of his mates on Saturday. Its hard for the younger generation to realise what it was like and what it meant. Hopefully they'll realise next season!!

    Ethics Commitee Meeting Tomorrow

Now going through further emails from Weber Shandwick. Discussions of a meeting over Ricoh negotiations with the Coventry Telegraph acting as some sort of neutral party is being read out by Sisu’s lawyer. Telegraph a neutral party! WTF.
