The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Nothing new though. We are still not where we should be. We still have to put something more on the table. We are being encouraged to do so.

    City of Culture Bid

I answered Gonzo‘s question. I haven’t heard anything about CCFC being in anyway involved since they announced they were. I read this forum and normally someone would have posted a link by now. There are loads of potential sources, so maybe you have heard „supporting the bid“ actually means?

    City of Culture Bid

I’ve read it. The proven facts are: Wasps are in the pitch. CCFC aren’t. Wasps paid into the kitty at the start. CCFC didn’t ( as far as we know). Wasps have a good relationship with people who matter in the city. CCFC have a broken relationship. Wasps are in the limelight. CCFC said they...

That’s not what I said. Should people change their mind, they have the right to. I don’t need to change my mind.

A lot more constructive things than your tosser hero Farage ever did in all the time he was bullshitting in Brussels.

I don’t agree about him having no charisma. He gets rousing cheers everywhere nowadays. If anyone hasn’t got charisma, it’s May.

That’s your answer? You don’t seem to get it. People are allowed to change their mind should they want to. At least in democratic countries.

No, he is just being neutral as always. ;-)

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Every election is followed by a revote a few years later. If you made a mistake, you can always vote for someone else next time. That’s democracy. To say that you can never vote on a subject ever again - even when 48% were of another opinion and it now seems as if the country is heading for a...

Yes, I seem to getting a hard time for stating the obvious. Still, someone is going to buy the club and we’ll all be home by Christmas..... apparently...

    City of Culture Bid

I am just saying why I think they are there. It is a fact they are there. We should be there, but there doesn’t seem to have been any great effort to be involved.

    I don’t think so.

    City of Culture Bid

Getting in a position to present a professional bid requires money and support/ goodwill of backers. Without that, nothing happens.

    City of Culture Bid

yes, they should have been in from the beginning. Wasps' support was announced ages ago. There was mention in January about CCFC happy to support the bid, but I never heard anything again.

    City of Culture Bid

I just think that nothing much will happen without money and goodwill. Maybe you know better.

    City of Culture Bid

How do you think that the bid charity should have dealt with Wasps money and support of the bid? Give it back and say "no thanks" we are waiting in case CCFC turn up and give a couple of hundred grand? Or say "thank god for that" we have got our starters, help, money and goodwill?

    City of Culture Bid

Just confirming the unpleasant reality. I have being saying for a long time that CCFC should have been involved in things to do with representing with the city in general - and even abroad - to improve the relationship with, and to show the value of CCFC as an advert for the city. Maybe that...

    City of Culture Bid

The whole point of this thread is that Wasps are getting more limelight in Coventry's bid than CCFC who seem to have been left out. That is an unpleasant fact. Not nice.

Being a sponsor helps getting you into the picture, which is obviously why they paid good money to get in. The council are around somewhere in this bid. I doubt very much if they have no influence on how their city is represented.
