    Godden

As much as I agree with posters who don't believe Baka and Biamou are up to the standard required this season, we unfortunately have to accept that they're probably going to be here until the summer. We're just not in a financial position to be replacing back-up options with 'better' and higher...

    Godden

I think it's more like Robins is suggesting that Godden is going to be in and out of the side for months. How often Godden will get out onto the pitch will be based on his fitness and pain management. It'll literally be a matter of wait and see.

    Would you have bright back?

Personally, I think getting out the best of JCH and getting the best out of Bright are two entirely different tasks. JCH sulks when things don't go his way and if his wages don't reflect his contribution to the team. At the minute he's free scoring, is valued by both MacAnthony and Ferguson and...

    Would you have bright back?

Is it a good move for them? It certainly has the potential to be a good move, but as good as he can quite clearly be it's entirely unpredictable which Bright is going to turn up.

    Baka

Baka isn't incapable of having a good game, but what many also seem to conveniently ignore is that he only has one good game out of 6/7 - which at this level especially just isn't acceptable. One relatively good game doesn't excuse the fact he contributes little in the next block of fixtures if...

    Match Thread Norwich

Just to update on my last post. Norwich full injuries/suspensions: Pukki, Buendía, Byram, Dowell, Cantwell, Idah, Mumba, Hernandez, Quintilla, McLean, Omobamidele, Omotoye, Krul. Still a very tough game but I feel we're at least in with a chance of getting a draw here.

The fact he's learnt and adapted so quickly despite being propelled from League 2 to the Championship in just 3 years is also hugely impressive. Kelly also deserves a notable mention for this.

    Tyler Walker

We have two good strikers in Godden and Walker. Biamou on the other hand isn't anywhere near good enough to play in the Championship.

    Marosi

Usually I think we would do. But given the financial predicament all clubs are in at the minute, I think rainy day funds are probably something of a luxury.

    Match Thread Cardiff

What were you trying to say then because my inference was that you think that we haven't improved and the only metric of improvement is if we grind out more results against the better sides of the division. Which, in my opinion, is unrealistic as regardless of what formation we play we were...

    Tyler Walker

Godden isn't an option. He's a guaranteed starter and his record so far this season proves that. To suggest Biamou starts over him is madness.

Couldn't agree less with this. Fair enough if you're not sold by the formation but to claim improvement is only indicative on the basis that we draw with a team that we are likely to lose to regardless of what formation we play, is absurd.

In terms of bringing in a temporary replacement I think the overarching issue is more with regards to available funds rather than whether the club has the sway to bring in a player.

Norwich have a backlog of injuries which hopefully will help. Pukki/Krul both injured and Buendia suspended in their last game. I believe they have a number of key absentees on top of the aforementioned as well.

    Marosi

We brought him in because he was a cheap option. There's a reason why he's 28 and played little over 60 games throughout his whole career.

Insisting we give a chance to sub-par players is completely illogical and will only lead to lost points and/or games. Wilson showed nothing in his few cameos in cup competitions last season to suggest that he was up to the standard. So, what evidence is there to suggest he'd thrive in the...

That will be him out for 6 weeks then. Maybe 4-5 if he's a quick healer and if a mask is worn.

Hyam is our best CB. But McFadz's experience is once again proving to be invaluable. Perhaps even more so than last season.

That's not really the point that I was getting at. Also Dabo was brought in very much for the first team. Charlie Wakefield was brought in as a development project - both Robins and Viveash knew the risks when bringing him in.
